AWESOME PRIZES TO BE WON!
Mayor Jackson is pleased to sponsor the 3rd annual Children’s
Garden Contest for Delta kids 5-16 years of age. Plant a flower
or vegetable garden and send us a date-stamped photo of your
blooms or crops anytime from August 1 to September 12, 2011.
Entry forms and additional information about this contest are

reaching breakneck speeds of more
than 70km/hr. fighting it out for

attend as cyclists manipulate
the tight, fast corners of the
downtown core in front of
thousands of spectators.
In this grueling race of strength,
precision & endurance the men
race through North Delta & Ladner
then join the women in Tsawwassen
for a staggered sprint finish.

Start/Finish 84 Avenue west of 114 Street, North Delta Social Heart
Experience the pack of riders race by
40-50 times, a fast downhill section
going into a left hand turn that will
see riders reach 70km/hr and a race
finish where the athletes will have
less than 100m out of the final corner
to sprint to the finish line.
Best Viewing: Start/Finish area on
84 Avenue west of 114 Street & the
corner of 84 Avenue & 112 Street.

At Deas Island Park
Experience the magic and mystery of the park
transitioning from day into night. Drum with Lyle
Povah; walk along a lantern-lit trail for fun and
exercise; visit discovery stations; see shadowy forms
and glistening eyes; inhale the fragrance of the forest
and listen to the night sounds. Dress for the weather
and bring flashlights. Allow at least one hour to
complete the quest.
