About the Venue The Best Western Monkbar Hotel is in the heart of the vibrant City of York and the full address is: Best Western Monkbar Hotel St Maurices Road York YO31 7JA The venue is within walking distance of York Train Station There is no onsite car parking at the hotel but the nearest car park is York City Council’s Foss Bank Shoppers Car Park which is just two minutes away from the venue, situated under the Sainsbury’s store (Post code YO31 7PL). Foss Bank has a vehicle height restriction of 6'6". For any delegates staying in the hotel the night before this event the hotel has a parking permit system that can be used in any Council Car Park. The permits allow you to park from 8am - 10am (the next morning/26 hours) for £5.00. One permit will be required per night of your stay. There is a drop off area outside the hotel where you can pick up your permit and a member of the hotel staff will be on hand to direct you to the nearest car park. Please note hotel accommodation is NOT included as part of the APSE event. About the seminar This forum is funded free of charge for APSE northern region members and is suitable for council leaders, executive / cabinet members, elected members and senior officers, including chief executives, assistant chief executives, seniors officers and heads of service. It will be of interest of particular interest to those with area responsibilities for waste and recycling services, city centre management and street scene management and policy and performance leads. Non-APSE member council delegates may attend at a cost of £125.00 and commercial delegates at a cost of £225.00.
