Dear students,
The much awaited summer vacations are back again. It is the time to stay
indoors, when it is too hot, but also time to enjoy with family, friends and
relatives. To keep you occupied during these vacations, some activities
have been complied, to develop creative thinking and general vocabulary.

A holiday is supposed to be a break from studies, explanations and completing tasks. But
are holidays supposed to make us irresponsible kids?
‘No’, So we’re going to take up creation responsibilities and also enjoy our holidays with
our families.
(1) READ BOOKS IN ENGLISH AND HINDI
Visit any good book shop in your area and select books of your level and interest. Read
them well. Books are your best friends. List out the books you have read in your English
and Hindi notebook.
(2) IMPROVE YOUR HAND WRITING
Write 1 page of Hindi and 1 page of English every alternate day and when you’re back to
school after the holidays, your handwriting will be the envy of your classmates!
We would love to see your writing practice notebook when you come back don’t buy any
new notebook, save paper write on anypaper which is a waste, click a pic of it from your

(3) WALK TOGETHER
Go for walks with the family. You will realize you have two of God’s greatest gifts make a
five day collage of the pics and mail it. NATURE AND YOUR FAMILY. Do not forget to
thank God for these gifts.
(4) PLAY OUTDOOR GAMES
Computer games are good. They sharpen your intellect, but what about the rest of your
body?
You need to do some exercise, don’t you?
Go cycling, play badminton, cricket, kho-kho, hide’n’ seek that will make you run. Don’t
forget to play early morning or late evening.
5.During this summer vacation let’s utilize this precious time in developing your
vocabulary and comprehension skills. Read English Newspaper on daily basis
and write any 5 important Headlines on A-4 size sheet and circle the Noun,
Pronoun, Preposition & Adjectives with different colour pencils.
6.There are many words in English language that are used either as a Noun or as a Verb.
You all should be aware of proper usage of these words in order to learn the language
properly. So, kids, we have designed the next exercise, to give you more clarity on the
usage of such words through proper practice. Given below are some words in the box for
which you have to make sentences, defining their meaning as a ‘Verb’ or a ‘Noun’. You can

An interesting way to learn country name and their currencies. List out the
Currencies used in 15 different countries of the world . You may also find the
exchange value of each currency against the Indian Rupee. Compile it on A-4
interleaf sheet . Kids!! Do you want to enhance your Numeric Ability…and want to
be perfect in multiplication !! Learn the tables from 2 to 20 by heart and write them
one time in your class work note book also. Your teacher will assess your
memorization, through oral & written assessment of tables in class.
4. To enhance your speed and accuracy of calculations let’s do extra practice of
