perilous districts of Scotland. Tight turnaround recutting hour long episodes into half
hours, worked in close collaboration between myself and the producer.

Observational Documentary: I was senior editor on this TV series. Each episode was
made up of 3 stories following the RSPCAʼs work in cases of animal cruelty. Certain
stories I post produced and cut myself.

Factual Entertainment science series shot in the USA and edited entirely in Australia. I
cut whole one hour shows alongside a producer. Shooting ratio around 60:1; rushes
reduced to around 20% by the editor prior to producer input. Heavy graphics and effects
element to the show: moving picture in picture effects, timewarps, innovative use of stock
footage.
2009 | The Farmer Wants a Wife - Series 3

Reality: Australian version of the successful formatted TV series following 6 lonely
farmers in their selection of an urban partner. Depending on the producer I either cut the
show with their input in the edit suite, or worked solo with a producer contributing from a
viewing station. This was a largely actuality and interview driven show, with little voice
over. Shooting ratio up to 80:1, with large multi-camera scenes.

Short film / documentary showcasing the history, music, and evolving generations of a
group of traditional, ancestral musicians - the Griot - in Guinea, West Africa. Interviews,
scripting, offline, online and audio mix were conducted myself.

Travel TV series. Each show consists of 5 or 6 stories, 6-10 mins each, showcasing the
worldʼs desirable holiday and travel destinations. Stories were scripted by the producer,
and I rough cut, choose the music, and then fine cut as a collaboration.

Sports. Round up of the weekʼs highlights in international motorsports. The initial scripted
edit was fine tuned with minimal input from the producer. 3 days to cut each episode.

Game-show. Large multi-camera studio-based show, edited from live-switched masters
and source camera tapes, then adding contestant packages, music, graphics, voice-over.

2006 | Australian Princess - Series 2

Reality TV series set in Australia and the UK. 12 unruly girls compete in a weekly
knockout competition for the title of Australian Princess. I made an initial cut to around 5
minutes over time, then the producers came aboard. 3 week show turnaround.
2003-06 | Backyard Blitz – Series 3 - 6

Lifestyle. I was senior editor on this prime-time, top rating garden makeover TV show,
which won 4 Australian “Logie” awards (the countryʼs BAFTA equivalent). Episodes were
turned around from first assembly to fine cut in as little as two weeks. The show was
unscripted, the editor choose the grabs, structure, montages, and laid out music on a cut
around 5 minutes over time at which point the producers came in. Extensive use of
commercial music.

I was in charge of the in-house video department for this large international advertising
agency. Work included TVC edits & cut-downs, animatics, and mood montages.
2000-02 | Video Editor - The Lowe Group Worldwide, London
In-house work for one of the UK and worldʼs top advertising agencies. Work included
pitch and presentation edits (mood videos, ad compiles) and standards conversions.
