Ascension Lutheran Church, celebrating 50 years!
1965-2015
WELCOME VISITORS!
Welcome to Ascension Lutheran Church! Please introduce yourself to Pastor Josh and others. We are glad you chose to
worship with us this Sunday and would be happy to provide you with information about our congregation.
Wilmington College
Community Summer Theatre
Think Green! The Wilmington College Community Summer Theatre will present SHREK THE MUSICAL July 19,
at 2:30 p.m., in WC’s Hugh G. Heiland Theatre. Part romance and part fractured fairy tale, this family fun promises to be enjoyed as much by adults as children. “Let your freak-flag fly
with this wonderfully zany musical for the whole family.” Prices are $12 for
adults and $8 for children 12 and under.
As we did last year, the Bakers have graciously agreed to open their house
to a gathering after the play. For $10 per person, they will order a deli tray,
etc., for all to enjoy. Please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board in the
narthex as soon as possible. Sixteen tickets have been reserved and more
are available as needed.

Summer has just begun, but N.E.E.D.S. is getting ready for the back-toschool drive to help support students in the area. The goal for Ascension is 50 boxes of the low odor dry erase markers. Also, book bags are
always needed. Donations need to be completed by Sunday, August
16, as we will be delivering to schools that week.
The big food need for the pantry is canned peas. Thank you for your
continued generosity.

fee will be charged for this event.
December 6
Worship service followed by brunch in the fellowship hall will mark the actual anniversary of Ascension’s first service 50 years ago at Maple Dale Elementary School in Blue Ash. We will look
