Dear Members,
Recently one of our members asked me why our Christmas lights were still up around
the building, well the truth is I’m superstitious and I don’t want to change the good
karma we have going at the club, so they may be on all summer. If you haven’t been
to the restaurant lately to try one of our fantastic dishes you are missing out. Chef Tony and his team are putting out great food and our restaurant is busier than ever.
The Artisan pizzas are especially popular.
We have a number of exciting golf member events this month including the beginning
of our Ladies and Men’s leagues and the Memorial Day Tournament if you are not all
ready signed up I encourage you to do so. Avondale will also be the host of the High
School State golf championships this month which will showcase the best young golfers in the state of Idaho. This is an exciting and competitive event for these young
players who are grateful to our membership for allowing the tournament to be held
here.
Thank you to everyone for getting us off to a fantastic 1st quarter in 2015.

It is great to be back in the land of the 25 mph speed limit. Many Snowbirds are returning with more each day. Everything flowering and green is beautiful to see. Our course is looking worthy of our swing efforts.
A big Avondale Welcome to our new members: Barb Hankins, Tami Savage, Jenni Whitehead and Machelle
Thank you to everyone that came out for Easter . Chef Tony Usher and his staff put out a wonderful
brunch. We hit another record number this year, serving 340 people. We will be serving something
very similar for Mother’s Day. Don’t forget to make your reservations early since we do fill up fast.
Martin.
DATES to SAVE: Our Welcome Back no-host lunch meeting will follow play on May 14 th. Karen Kruh will be handing out our booklets then so be sure to attend. Be looking for sign up for the May 28th start of the Avondale Cup. We
will be hosting the Hayden Exchange June 11 th, so starting going through your “media” to exchange. Club Championship this year will be Match Play, starting Aug 20th and 3rd round on Aug 27th . Second round any day in between that
both agree on.
We put out a new menu in April with some exciting new things on it. We are making our own homemade Pastrami for our Mile High Pastrami Dip. Also our own homemade pizza dough for our Artisan
Stone Baked Pizzas. We are running a special for the month of May, come in and try one of our Pizzas
at $14.00 and get a Pitcher of Domestic Beer for $8.00.
Thanks again to Annie Whipple for covering for me last month. Also to Lil Jaynes and Colleen Clancey who have handled the sign-in and line up regardless if nice or cool. For all you mudders out there!
What a great way to spend that monthly minimum!
Happy Spring Everyone!!
Check out our bulletin board, which is full of information. The sign-up sheet is there and forms for upcoming Outside
Invitationals. The clean up of the hall to the office makes this area very nice for all.
Lastly, keep checking your emails for up to date information. 9 am Shotgun continues through May.
