a. Projects for 2014-2015
i. Bylaws Updates – LT Zucco requested electronic voting – Article 1 (Question about eligibility,
decided to leave in “reserve (when applicable),” due to the ACA permitting PHS to have a
ready reserve corp, but suggested removing “inactive duty”)- Article 8 (Election, added
electronic voting). Official draft not submitted and deadline is June 3 rd. Need vote on
proposed changes.
b. 2015-2016 BCOA Nominations – LCDR Dawson reported that nominations are still open till COB
(05/27/15). baltimorecoa@gmail.com – LT Zucco sent acceptance emails, please respond
accordingly.

BCOA End of Year Member Celebration options
i. Backpacks to Liberia Drive - LCDR Dawson reported the backpack event is still moving
forward and group is meeting frequently. Needed 1000 backpacks – filled with school
supplies. Email vote to donate baltimorecoa@gmail.com - budgeted amount for this effort
will be around $250.00
ii. Bowling Event – LCDR Dawson reported the bowling event did not have a lot of feedback for
the bowling event.
Next Speaker Series: 27 June – LCDR Dawson reported CDR Marrisa Rice does a presentation regarding
being an “Officer”. Potential presenter for future presentation – during final meeting. Also, possibly to
have CDR Jill Christ present.

a. Executive Committees:
i. Bylaws Subcommittee – LT Zucco – no comments in addition to what was presented
earlier.
ii. Nominating Subcommittee LT Zucco – no comments in addition to what was presented
earlier.
b. Branch Committees:
i. Public Health/Environmental Subcommittee – LCDR Hamilton Stokes – sent out a call
for volunteers for Maryland Food Bank, possibly a family day for youth (currently
needs to be 12 or over and youths may receive school credit for volunteer activity).
Next event scheduled for Jun 13th from 9 AM to 12PM, looking for youth/parent
volunteers.

iii. Social/Communications Subcommittee – no report

BCOA Winter Social Feedback
iv. New Member Outreach Subcommittee - LT Clements – 1 new officer to CMS (CDR
Allen Magtibay), new officer to start June 1st (CDR Willie Thompkins)
v. Education and Leadership Subcommittee –no report other than what was presented
earlier.
