Bienvenido a Barsa Taberna! Our “Modern Tapas” food philosophy originated from the roots of Spanish style Tapas – meaning, small shared plates. Our Executive Chef, Michael G. Smith, has evolved this concept into a more diverse and worldly one, featuring flavors and techniques from a range of different cultures and cuisines. We encourage you to order multiple dishes in order to emulate your palate and experience tasting the world in Spanish style “Social Dining”. Our concept is derived from a distinctive atmosphere, art, cuisine and culture of Barcelona as each art piece is custom made to reflect distinct influences of immortalized Barcelona based artists such as Gaudi and Picasso. The building we are housed in is a heritage protected building from the 1800’s, has been home to a number of previous tenants including as a stable for the RCMP.
