Principal’s Report
Lest We Forget.
Berry Public School greatly
values our relationship and
collaboration with our
community, including the
Berry RSL Sub Branch, and
we marked the Centenary
of the landing at Gallipoli
in true Berry style last
week.
with many RSL members reflecting that it was the very best
school service they had ever attended. Our students and staff
were fortunate to receive a personal memento of the Centenary in
the form of a specially crafted medallion. We wish to thank the
Berry RSL for organising the medallions and also for their
attendance and contributions which add so much value to our
school service.
The community ANZAC Day service on Saturday was attended
by over 100 of our students who marched in the parade and then
performed a beautiful rendition of Lest We Forget, led by Mrs
Quinn.
Thanks to all of our parents for bringing the students to the
parade in uniform, special thanks to Mrs Barrett and Miss
Stanger for
liaising with
the Berry RSL
sub branch and
organising the
events.

Recently Mrs Quinn was asked by the Berry Historical Society for
the school to be represented at the Anzac Centenary Concert
hosted by the Berry Historical Society and the Berry Museum.
Ruby Reid was asked to perform and chose a song she is learning
in choir with Mrs Barrett, “I’ll Always Remember”.
Sam Hobson, our 2012 Berry Public School Vice-Captain
accompanied Ruby on the piano.
There were over 200 people at the concert including the Berry
Silver Band and the Berry CWA Choir.
Here is the link for Ruby and Sam performing Always
Remember. https://youtu.be/IYdrmhB9CaY
