Foil Craft
Now take three strips of
your favourite adhesive
tape and apply across the
bottom edge of a card
front. Remove the adhesive
protective strip and again
apply the Foil Craft with
the dull side down, on the
adhesive strips. Give a rub
and lift off the Foil Craft. Now
you have a fancy border.

One of the Trends for 2015
in scrapbooking and card
making is the use of foil. The
polished metallic look is an
elegant look, but how can
you create it for yourself. We
are going to look as some
fun ways to use Foil Craft.
Some of you will remember
this product, but I have some
new ways you can use it to.
First lets look at how we use
to use Foil Craft. First you will
need a 2’n’1 glue pen. 2’n’1
is when you stick something
down while the glue is wet
it is a permanent stick and
if you let the glue dry (go
clear) and then stick it is
repositionable.
Start off by taking your glue
pen and writing at title,
sentiment or just a fun doodle
on a piece of cardstock. Let
the glue turn clear, then take
your piece of Foil Craft and
with the silver dull side down
place it on top of the glue.
Give it a good rub over the
top, then lift off the Foil Craft.
Ta-da, a lovely foiled look.
Our next technique uses
Jac paper (an A4 sheet of
double sided tape). Diecut a shape form Jac Paper
(here I cut the word Hello
using my Silhouette Cameo).
Take off the backing paper
and adhere to your card
or layout. Next take off the
front adhesive backing to
reveal the sticky part of the
Jac Paper and add the Foil
Craft again being sure the
dull silver side attaches to the
adhesive. Rub the top of the

Here is a technique I had not
thought of before. I came
across this while researching
for this article and love
it. Using the 2’n’1 glue we
mentioned earlier. You can
get jumbo pens of the 2’n’1
glue pens. Now carefully
apply this glue to a stamp.
While the glue is still wet stamp
the image and be sure to
thoroughly clean your stamp
straight away. The image
you stamped with the 2’n’1,
let the glue dry so it becomes
clear. Now apply the Foil
Craft - dull side down. Rub
the top of the Foil Craft really
well for this technique and
pull away the Foil Craft gently.
This looks so pretty - now, what
other stamps should I use ...
Now with these techniques
with the glue, if when you pull
of the Foil Craft some of the
adhesive is still showing and
not taken the foil craft, you
can reapply the Foil Craft

Tips And Tricks
strips of washi tape to hold
your paper in place while
you cut. It can easily be
removed when you have
finished cutting.
By Megan Kapma
Creating a chalkboard
effect with a white gel pen
and black cardstock.
Start of by punching
out a shape from black
cardstock.
Rub over that piece of
cardstock using a piece of
white chalk. Rub off some
of the chalk using a dry
napkin.
Write on the black
cardstock using a white
gel pen. Add a border as
well and there you have
it, a cute little chalkboard
embellishment, tag or label.
A fun quick tip for those
of you with a Silhouette
or Circuit and your mat is
losing stickiness you can use
Here is another washi tape
tip you can try. Start off
by adding vertical strips
of assorted washi tape to
some kitchen wax paper
(on the waxy side).
Then take your choice of
craft punch that fits the
width of the washi tape
and punch on each of the
washi tape strips.
Now peel the wax paper
off and you have a washi
tape sticker. (I did find it a
little tricky getting the wax
paper off but with a bit of
patience it does work.)
