The Gundelfinger Turnerschaft couldn‘t have dreamed a year ago that the competition would have attracted attention from 18 nations. We would like to warmly welcome you all to the blackforest3days. The top priority for us is to offer a well organised competition, exciting races and unforgettable experiences in our region. The venues themselves contribute importantly to a great orienteering and natural experience. The first stage is to be found around the remarkable cathedral in the old university city of Freiburg, at the foot of the Black Forest, only 30kms from Hinterzarten. Freiburg offers much to the orienteerer and holidaymaker – Bächle (small waterways), the Schloßberg, narrow twisty alleways as well as delicacies and wine. With the Gundelfinger-Turnerschaft as organiser of the blackforest3days and the youth and junior inter The finishing area of the second stage lies idyllicly on the shore of the Titisee lake. The mountainous region around Hinterzarten is characterised by dense forest, wide temberg - in the club as well as the youth rankings. Also meadows, clear mountain lakes and mysterious high moors. From wonderful hiking trails to exciting nationally the GTS has a word to say: probably the most mountain bike trails through to the relaxing spa oase of Badeparadies Schwarzwald await the orienteers, well known athlete, Meike Jaeger, is twelve time German beside the competitions unforgettable moments. champion and eleven times World Championship starter. Currently there are two runners of the GTS, Immanuel Berger and Anne Kunzendorf, who are affiliated with the Schwarzwaldhof Hotel • Restaurant Familie • Café Gutzweiler national team squad. In recent years the GTS has once again developed into a club with a big child and youth group. From around 50 orienteering activists there are only 11 who are older as 30. This proves: here the work with young talents is successful. A further success for the GTS should be the blackforest3days. Markus Theißen, the competition leader, predicts: “with the blackforest3days we would like to set standards”. 6 7 Schedule Friday, 01/05/2015 Schedule Sunday, 03/05/2015 Zeit Event Ort Zeit Event Ort 14:00 – 20:00 Opening local competition office Freiburg, Gerhard-Graf-Halle, 06:00 – 08:30 Breakfast buffet Hinterzarten, Kurhaus Friedrichstr. 51 07:30 – 18:00 Opening local competition office Hinterzarten, Adlerschanze Freiburg, Gerhard-Graf-Halle, 09:30 – 14:00 Childcare Hinterzarten, Adlerschanze 14:30 – 19:00 Childcare Friedrichstr. 51 08:30 Youth Cup Mass start Hinterzarten, Adlerschanze 15:30 First start Prologue Sprint Freiburg, Stadtgarten, Leopoldring 15 10:30 1st start Middle Distance Hinterzarten, Adlerschanze 15:00 – 18:30 Child-OL Freiburg, Stadtgarten, Leopoldring 15 15:30 Courses close Middle Distance Hinterzarten, Adlerschanze 19:50 Courses close Prologue Sprint Freiburg, Stadtgarten, Leopoldring 15 starting 12:00 Child-OL Hinterzarten, Adlerschanze 19:00 – 22:00 Opening central competition office Hinterzarten, Kurhaus, Sitzungssaal III after Award ceremony Hinterzarten, Adlerschanze 19:00 Opening Public Accommodation Hinterzarten, competition Turnhalle Georg-Thoma-Schule 15:00 Closing of the group accommodation Hinterzarten, 20:00 Pasta-Party Hinterzarten, Kurhaus, Turnhalle Georg-Thoma-Schule Schedule Saturday, 02/05/2015 Zeit Event Ort 06:30 – 09:00 Breakfast buffet Hinterzarten, Kurhaus 08:00 – 19:00 Opening local competition office Titisee, Bruggermühle 12:00 – 18:00 Childcare Titisee, Strandbad 09:30 1st Start German Youth Cup-Individual Titisee, Eisweiher 12:30 1st start Long Distance Titisee, Eisweiher 13:30 – 16:30 Child-OL Titisee, Eisweiher 19:00 Courses close Long Distance Titisee, Eisweiher 18:00 Admission evening event Hinterzarten, Kurhaus 18:00 – 21:00 Opening central competition office Hinterzarten, Kurhaus, Sitzungssaal III starting 19:00 Dinner bf3d Hinterzarten, Kurhaus, 19:00 – 19:45 Award ceremony, 2nd Stage Hinterzarten, Kurhaus, großer Saal later Disco (only Youth Cup-Participants) Hinterzarten, Kurhaus, großer Saal BERGERPROVITA (until 24:00) 8 9 Overview of the event locations - blackforest3days Local competition office: Competition offices in the event areas are open on all three days as follows: Direction Karlsruhe ~130km 3 FR-Nord 31 FR-Mitte 294 5 Friday, 01/05/2015 Saturday, 02/05/2015 Sunday, 03/05/2015 14:00 – 20:00 08:00 – 19:00 07:30 – 18:00 Gerhard-Graf-Sporthalle Strandbad Titisee Schanzenzentrum Friedrichstraße 51, Strandbadstraße 1, Adlerschanze 1, 79098 Freiburg 79822 Titisee-Neustadt 79856 Hinterzarten GPS: 47.99982°N / 7.84681°E GPS: 47.89902°N / 8.14477°E GPS: 47.89983°N / 8.11041°E FREIBURG DB 1 Direction Mulhouse (F) ~45km Basel (CH) ~60km FR-Süd 5 31 Freiburg - Hinterzarten ~28km 500 31 3 Direction ~50km 81 31 HINTERZARTEN 3 500 Central Competition Centre: 10 DB Kurhaus Hinterzarten, The central competition office is open as follows: Freiburger Straße, 79856 Hinterzarten Friday, 01/05/2015 19:00 – 22:00 GPS: 47.9059041°N / 8.105569°E Saturday, 02/05/2015 18:00 – 21:00 Direction Waldshut-Tiengen ~50km DB 2 TITISEE 315 Direction Schaffhausen (CH) ~60km 11 Hinterzarten town centre Direction 31 ~1km HINTERZARTEN DB H1 H2 3 competition center Kurhaus H1 accommodation 1 H2 accommodation 2 centre (WKZ) 3 competition competition area „Sportlicher Erfolg.“ WKZ Kurhaus Hinterzarten Jeder Mensch hat etwas, das ihn antreibt. grill 1 Direction 31 ~1km HINTERZARTEN Wir machen den Weg frei.
