The Boonah Junior Show Committee have much pleasure in
presenting the 2015 School Students Show Schedule.
The following are extracts from the Show Society Schedule which will be of interest to
Students of all ages.
It includes all the Junior Classes from the various sections of the Show.
The Junior Show Committee want to encourage Students of all ages to exhibit in our
Show. All entries are free to Students, except for the Horse Events.
Should you want further information on any of the Sections, please obtain the full version
of the Show Schedule from local businesses or the Show Society Office on 5463 1124 or
check out the Show Society Web Page on www.boonahshowsociety.org.au
The Junior Show Committee are Students from the Boonah High School.
They appoint Junior Stewards to work in all Sections of the Boonah Show, assisting the
Show Society Stewards on both Friday & Saturday of the Show.
They also run the Junior Young Farmers Challenge on the Friday Night.
The Students have input into the Show Program.
They hold regular meetings in their lunch breaks at School.
Their Executive attend the Show Committee Meetings .
ADMISSION, MEMBERSHIP AND PRIVILEGES
Management and Committee Members are nominated members of the Show Society. Members subscription for the
Boonah Show Society Inc is $20-00 per person per year. Upon production of their Membership ticket, members are
entitled to free gate admission to the Show on all days.
THIS DOES NOT ENTITLE MEMBERS TO A DISCOUNT ON ENTRY FEES.

They must be A.S.A 3838 or equivalent

The Boonah Show Society also adopts rules 1-41 in relation to Qld Chamber of Agricultural Society General
Horse Regulations. A copy of these rules is available from the Show Society Secretary or at the Nomination Box.
No persons other than those in charge of a horse are allowed in the arena.
All horses must be led from the shoulder.
If required, MEASURING of horses may take place between 7.30 am 8.30 am on concrete measuring block next to the Nomination box.
It is the SOLE RESPONSIBILITY of competitors to present their horses in time for their classes.
The Committee reserves the right to change the order of the classes before or during the show. It is the
responsibility of the competitor to be aware of such changes.
Competitors and horses compete at their own risk. The organizing committee accepts no responsibility for injury,
loss or damage.
Registration papers, membership cards and amateur owner permits MUST be produced on request to the Show
Secretary.
There will be NO refund of entry fees.
POINTS: It is the responsibility of the competitors to ensure that the correct details are supplied to the Show
Secretary upon nomination. Failure to do so will result in no points recorded.
DISPUTES: All Protests must be in writing no later than 30 minutes after the said event accompanied by $25.00

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. All exhibits in this Section must be delivered to the Secretary’s office at Showground on or before
11.30am Wednesday 13h May, 2015
2. Exhibits may be collected at the Fine Art Pavilion between 10 - 12. on the Sunday 17/5/15. Exhibits
must be collected by 13 June or they will be forfeited.
3. All entries to be framed or mounted on hard backing and prepared for hanging with securely
attached cord or wire. Loose papers and soft cardboard will not be hung apart from entries in
Classes 15,16 & 17.
4. All exhibits must be the bona fide original work of the Exhibitor and must have been produced in the
last 12 months.
5. EXHIBITORS MAY ONLY HAVE TWO ENTRIES IN EACH CLASS.
6. Exhibits cannot be entered in more than one class.
7. The greatest care will be taken, however, the Boonah Show Society will not be held responsible for
any damage or theft in transit or on display, and shall not provide insurance cover for any exhibit. All
exhibits are at the owner’s risk.
8. Exhibits for sale to be suitably priced. Price must be stated on entry form. A commission of 10% will
apply to articles sold. Price tag must be placed in envelope and affixed to back of articles.
9. CHAMPION EXHIBIT WILL BE CHOSEN AFTER THE OVERALL JUDGING.
10. Framed art works are not to be larger than 1m X 1.2m.

This event is being run in the form of a barrel race, with competitors being timed. They will not be
racing against another competitor.
The winner of each class will be the fastest time to complete the course without incident.
All competitors must wear helmets, safety clothes and shoes.
All competitors bikes will be scrutineered before entering the event.
Competitors are to assemble at an area where directed 30 minutes before the event.
Only 5 nominations will be accepted for each event. No entries will be taken on the night.
