Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre 6pm – 8pm Sport Engagement –a night of sport and recreation activities, including some junior AFL clinics. Drop-In Centre Sat March 21st 8.30am – 10am ABC Sport Breakfast Show – a special outside broadcast from ABC Kimberley. 8am-10am Community Fitness Testing – How fit are you? Here is an opportunity to work with experts in the fitness industry to test yourself, and understand how to identify talented athletes, measure improvement in fitness and strength, and assist with athlete development. 8am-10am Broome Squash Club – come and try squash and see what the sport is all about. Broome Tennis Club - Adult Cardio Tennis information session and demonstration. 9am-11am Junior Sport Registration - Auskick and Broome Netball Association. 9am-11am West Kimberley Junior Football Council – Round one of the junior football competition. 10am-4pm Coach and Education course - Broome Netball Association will host this sport specific session. Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre Mon March 23rd Positive Club Culture Forum – Discussion with Ric Charlesworth Join the internationally respected coach and author to discuss how to create positive culture in a team and learn what you as leaders can do to make that happen. There will also be an introduction to the Top Club project, which engages club members in developing values, vision and identifying appropriate and inappropriate behaviours. An invitation-only evening. 6pm-8pm Mangrove Hotel Tues March 24th Beyond the Playing Field - The Power of Sport and Recreation in the Kimberley Sport has the power to change organisations, communities and lives for the better. Internationally-respected high-performance coach and author Ric Charlesworth will share his experiences with the Broome Chamber of Commerce. 7am – 8.45am Club Injury Management Course - This practical course from Sports Medicine Australia will introduce participants to the basic skills of injury prevention, 5.15pm8.15pm Mangrove Hotel BRAC multi purpose Wed March 25th 6pm-7.30pm Eating Right for Training and Sport – Do you want to get more out of your training? Do you need to fuel yourself better to perform on game day? Your capacity to improve fitness and performance depends highly on what you put into your body. This 90 minute workshop by dietitian Jenna Cowie will show you all you need to know.
