If bowlers are registered for the JTE Tour then they can gain JTE ranking points. If bowlers are registered for the YTE Tour then they can gain YTE ranking points. Bowlers in the U21 age group will either need to have a YTE card or will need to register through a YBC or national equivalent organisation.s in the Under 21 Ranking points will be awarded after the 9 games bowled, based on your All Events final positions and will be awarded in line with the YTE/JTE/BTBA ranking point systems. The tournament will be in the following formats on each day: Singles, Doubles, Team or Team, Singles, Doubles. All bowlers will bowl 9 games on the same day in their chosen format. British Junior Open 2015 Rules and Regulations 1. This is a Junior Team England/BTBA event and the general playing and tournament rules of the BTBA will govern this tournament together with the following special rules and regulations. Entry to the tournament is subject to the acceptance of these rules. 2. All entrants must be in possession of a current BTBA membership card or National Association equivalent, non-production of this card will result in a £2 fine. 3. Registration will be 30 minutes prior to each squad. Tardy players will commence at the frame in progress as directed by a Tournament Official. 4. Entry fees must accompany the entry form, and must reach the Tournament Manager by midday on SUNDAY 5TH JULY 2015. 5. Squadding will be in order of entry receipt; local YBC’s and bowlers will be expected to book the earlier squad times. 6. Once the squadding is issued, entry fees are non refundable if players are withdrawn without replacement. 7. The Tournament Manager is Neville Nock, who will be assisted by Norwich YBC officials and Instructors. The Manager reserves the right to reject, re-rate or accept any entry. The Tournament Managers decision on all matters is final, subject to appeal to the BTBA. 8. A provisional ball must be rolled if a dispute relating to pinfall cannot be resolved immediately. Any protest must be lodged with the Tournament Manager within 30 minutes of the infraction occurring and confirmed in writing within 48 hours. 9. Only Tournament Officials, Players, Lane Marshals and one Licensed Instructor / Coach per lane are allowed in the playing area. Tournament Officials or Lane Marshals should be made aware of any score changes before the alteration is made. The licensed representative must comply with the dress code and display their licence. 10. No competitor will be allowed to smoke or consume alcohol anywhere in the centre during the tournament. Bad language, improper gestures, the abuse of bowling equipment or machinery is forbidden. Mobile phones must be switched off during match play and are not permitted in the playing area. No earphones from MP3, mobile phones etc shall be worn while on the approach during tournament play. Any breach of this rule may result in the individual being disqualified from the tournament. 11. The event may be recorded for video and photographic presentation and may form part of a web streamed programme. Each competitor’s entry into the event constitutes consent to their inclusion in the recording and to the unrestricted transmission and exploitation of all or any part of the recording in any and all media. 12. Any disqualification may result in the loss of scores and awards. Any bowler disqualified will be reported to the BTBA for consideration of disciplinary proceedings. 13. Competitors who, in the opinion of the Tournament Manager, are not dressed in correct bowling attire in the player’s area will not be permitted to bowl. Competitors will wear the correct bowling attire in the playing area and shirts must bear the name of the player’s YBC or the player's name and be clearly seen. Sponsors names (excluding alcohol or tobacco products) are permissible. Shorts or denim clothing of any description will not be permitted, however SKORTS (skirt/shorts) will be allowed. The wearing of hats during play is not allowed, unless at the Tournament Officials discretion. 14. In the event of a tie in a prize winning position, the award will go to the bowler(s) with the highest low game(s).
