The water flowing through is extremely cold 9 to 13 degrees Celsius. Numbers travelling this way through the Grand Canyon are limited to 22,000 people each year but is open to anyone who wishes to go. The group they used has taken people as old as 90 and each year take a group of War Veterans – all of whom suffer from damaged or missing limbs.
