Presenting the 2015 FREE - 9th Annual Registration Form Kensington Metropark, Brighton, MI – Saturday, June 13th, 2015 Camp Liberty Inc., an all-volunteer, 501-c-3 non-profit organization, is requesting your attendance at the upcoming 9th Annual “Tips-Up for the Troops” event. Who can come: Everyone is invited to the weigh-in show, free pontoon ride, Taste of Scuba pool (bring your swim suit and towel,) Volleyball tournament, Family Fun Walk, Classic Car Show and the Eisenhower Center “All American BBQ.” The Bass Tournament is open only to all Veterans and Pro anglers (boaters) who are also encouraged to bring family members to enjoy the day’s festivities. About the Tips-Up for Troops event: Recognized by the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, Tips-Up for Troops has hosted over 300 combat Veterans and 2,000 other guests over the years. All proceeds this year go to benefit Camp Liberty and the Michigan Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America Veteran Program. Where the Dollars Go: They stay right here in Michigan; No other program in the nation can match Camp Liberty’s complete recreation and reintegration programs backed with PTSI and TBI rehabilitation through the Eisenhower Center’s “After the Impact” programs. Instructions: All fishermen must check-in at the East Park Pavilion at Possum Hollow at 6:00am. Veterans will get paired with Pro boaters there, leave their vehicles at East Park parking lot, and ride with their Pro partner to the West Boat ramp for tournament safety briefing, opening ceremonies and launching. Pro anglers will provide safety vest and fishing equipment to include lures for the day. This is a Pro-Am Team format. Spread the word please we need boaters to help get our Veterans on the water.
