CARRIAGE HOMES
AT DUNWOODY COMMONS
Serving the Community
Welcome to Carriage
Homes
The mission of your new Board of Directors is to foster open
communication and transparency. Your new board was elected
last Thursday night. We are here to serve the community. That
being said, we do have some priority action items that we want to
consider in the immediate future. We can’t make the changes to
this community that need to happen without the support and input
of our owners and residents. In order to facilitate open
conversations, we plan to hold a series of Town Hall Meetings at
our very own pool. Please plan to attend to discuss the positive
changes that you would like to see in our community. We know
that there are problems that require our attention and we’ll need
to discuss these in a constructive manner. For every problem you
present to the community—be it in a Town Hall Meeting, an email
communication, or a sidewalk conversation—please also come
prepared with a suggestion for a solution. It’s only with your help
that we can make our community the home that we know if can
be!

Priority Action Items
The board has several action items which will be of priority over the
coming weeks. Those items are:
As part of our commitment to
transparency and open
communication, we have
created a Web site for our
owners and residents to
access for information about
our community. In it you’ll find
contact information for Sentry
Management, FAQs, and
opportunities for participation in
committees who work directly
with our board. You can also
sign up to be on our email list
as well!
Please visit the site regularly
for updates on how your board
is serving the community!
1. Lowering the quorum
2. Removing voting certificates
3. Removing conflicts regarding amendments
These items can only be changed once a quorum is reached. Currently
that is 73 units. We had 67 units represented at our AGM on Thursday.
That is why is it so important for us to attend meetings so that we can
make the changes that will make governing our neighborhood easier.
Other action items include:
1. Reviewing all contracts to ensure competitive pricing
2. Establishing a Web site and email lists to encourage more open
communication
3. Posting general procedures and tips for maintaining your home
4. Identifying maintenance and drainage issues across the property and
prioritizing their correction
5. Form committees for issues impacting the community
