Eligibility: Student of Hispanic descent and the first in family to attend college; plans to attend Carroll Community
College; and has college-worthy grades.
b) Jessica E. Belknap Memorial Scholarship –

Eligibility: SCHS senior with 3.0 or higher GPA, accepted to college/university/technical school and demonstrated
interest in a career in Veterinary Science.
c) Celebrate Youth Scholarship –

Eligibility: Carroll County graduating senior who has been accepted to a post-secondary educational institution with
cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher; outstanding citizenship traits and involved in student service activities and extracurricular activities in Carroll County during high school.
d) Carroll Association of School Employees (CASE) Scholarship –

Eligibility: Child, step-child, or grandchild of a member in good standing of CASE.
e) Class of 1930 Nursing Scholarship –

Eligibility: CCCTC students in the Nursing Program.
f) Chester G. Elder Memorial Scholarship –

Eligibility: SCHS senior that plans to study in college for a career in Education; college-worthy SAT scores.

h) Ryan A. MacKenzie Memorial 4-H Scholarship –

Eligibility: Graduating senior who has been accepted at post-secondary school; must be a 4-H member in Carroll County
and have exhibited sheep OR horses at the Carroll County 4-H/FFA Fair for at least 1 year.
i) Meghan Lynn Rippeon Memorial Scholarship –
Deadline: April 15, 2015
Eligibility: Carroll County graduating senior accepted at an accredited college and interested in pursuing a career in early
childhood education. Min 3.0 cumulative GPA.
j) Danele Shipley Scholarship –
Deadline: April 15, 2015
Eligibility: Carroll County graduating senior with outstanding citizenship traits and involvement in student service
activities and extra-curricular activities; 3.0 or higher GPA; Financial need may be a consideration.
k) School Nurses Association of Carroll County (SNACC) –

Eligibility: Student planning to study nursing in college; GPA of 3.0 or higher.
l) Carroll County Food Services Association –

4) TACTICC Scholarship

Eligibility: Graduating Carroll County senior who has demonstrated commitment to theater arts, shows a strong
potential for further contributions to theater arts, and who has been an active member of their school theater arts
department. Preference will be given to students who have participated in TACTICC programs and/or productions.

5) Sykesville-South Carroll Rotary Club Scholarship

7) Carroll County Association for Family and Community Education (FCE) Scholarship

Eligibility: Carroll County resident. Selection of award winners will be based on need, academic standing (should be in
top quarter of the class), and extracurricular activities.

8) Eldersburg Rogue Runners Academic Athlete Scholarship
Type: Local
Deadline: April 15, 2015
Four Awards: $750 each
Eligibility: Senior runners with participation in Cross Country and/or Track and Field at least 1 season per year during
their 4 years of high school; minimum weighted cumulative 3.0 GPA; must have maintained Academic and Conduct
Eligibility during the four years of high school; and must be a current member of the Eldersburg Rogue Runners and

9) Joseph Fox Jr. Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility: Maryland graduating senior who will enroll as a full-time student at college/university and major in Education
with the intent to pursue teaching as a career. Must have GPA of 3.2 or better; and document community service in
education-related activities.

10) Carroll Players Scholarship
Type: Local
Deadline: April 15, 2015
Award: $500
Eligibility: Carroll County student who plans to pursue the dramatic arts in college. Does not have to be a Drama major.
Student plans to use the dramatic arts in his/her chosen field of study (drama teacher, stage craft, drama therapy, etc).

11) Damascus Community Bank – 2 Scholarships

12) Tevis College Arts Scholarship

Eligibility: High school seniors intending to major in visual arts, music, theatre, dance, graphic design, arts education,

13) Carroll County NAACP Continuing Education Award 2014-2015

Eligibility: African American senior; Unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher; applicant has been accepted in a
college/univ/certified trade school as a full time student; and student has been active in school / community activities.

14) Student-View Scholarship Program
Type: National
Deadline: April 22, 2015
Multiple Awards: One - $4,000; Two - $1,000; Ten - $500
Eligibility: High school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, community/junior college or career school.
Application: Online only. Log on to www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about
colleges in your area. Winners will be selected via a random drawing of all completed applications.
15) GFWC Junior Woman’s Club of Westminster Scholarship

Eligibility: Carroll County graduating senior who has been accepted into an accredited college. Selection is based on:

20) Sharon Melton Meyers Memorial Scholarship

23) SCHS Athletic Boosters Scholarship

Six Awards: $1,000 each – one male and one female athlete; $500 each – three male and three female athletes
Eligibility: SCHS senior in good standing; Student’s family must be a current member of the SCHS Athletic Boosters on
record by Dec 31, 2014; and Athletic participation during high school is a prerequisite; however, current athletic
participation is not required.

24) Winfield Elementary School ECON Fair Scholarship

Eligibility: Senior instrumental music students who participated for a minimum of two years during high school and will
attend college immediately after high school.

Eligibility: Applicant must: 1) be a resident of one of the eight incorporated municipalities in Carroll County. (Hampstead,
Sykesville, Union Bridge, Westminster, Mt Airy, New Windsor, Taneytown OR Manchester);
2) have acceptance into a college/university undergraduate program intended to prepare students for a career in
governmental or public service; and 3) be in good academic standing.

45) Maryland Pathways –
Type: Local
Program that offers grant funds to cover tuition, fees, room, board and books. Qualifying students are asked to
participate in Federal Work-Study to earn money to help pay for personal and incidental expenses.
Eligibility: A student must be dependent, a Maryland resident student and eligible for the Auto-Zero EFC calculation on
the FAFSA. (Auto-Zero EFC families have adjusted gross incomes of $24,000 or less and file the 1040A or 1040EZ tax

46) Maryland’s Guaranteed Access Grant (GA Grant) –
Type: Local
Eligibility: Students with high need (see Maryland Pathways Program above).
Application: Students must apply during their senior year in high school. If they fail to do so, they cannot be considered
for the GA Grant in subsequent years.
