The Casey Coyle Memorial Fund was
started in response to the last wishes of
Casey Coyle. She spent a great deal of
her life being hospitalized at Children’s
Hospital of Philadelphia fighting Cystic
Fibrosis. She understood the difficulties
that the patients and their families face
when hospitalization is required. The
financial and emotional burdens can put
a great strain on families. She wanted a
fund set up to help with small expenses
that are beyond the budget during this
time. That could be gas for
transportation to and from the hospital,
eating meals together at the hospital as a
family, a room for parents during a long
stay at the hospital, or whatever makes
it easier to get through the hospital stay.
Also, she wanted to help the patient
have some form of entertainment while
in the hospital for weeks. Simple things
like movies, video games, and other
diversions can help the time pass more
quickly. To date, we have donated the
proceeds from our golf outings, which
total over $77,000, and hope to continue
raising funds for years to come.
