Nicky was homeless for 36 years following an abusive and traumatic childhood and it was her late discovery of her gift as an artist which has led to the wonderful creativity of her images. Poppies To mark the centenary of the First World War, thinkarts! has launched a competition within its users on the theme of Poppies – Hope, Reflection and Remembrance. Thinkarts! is a loose network of people experiencing mental health issues from across north-east London all of whom use art as a part of their recovery. This is an exhibition of the work submitted. Going for Growth is a weekend, 5–7 June 2015, in beautiful Surrey countryside at Wychcroft, the diocesan retreat house, designed to help those of us who have made a recent fresh response to God to think about how we live and grow in the light of that response. The weekend will be taught by Canon Stephen Hance, with lots of space for reflection, discussion, relaxation, and worship led by Canon Gilly Myers.
