Understanding the performance and demographic potential of retail centres catchment areas in Great Britain
Short abstract of what the project would probably entail, and the data to be used:
There are numerous factors determining the performances of the individual stores and retail centres, and their relative
relevance varies spatially.
Project aims to find the most relevant demographic and socioeconomic factors influencing the success of retail centres
throughout Great Britain. Both residential and working population will be taken into account to fully understand the
demographic potential of the catchment areas of the retail centres and this will be connected to the indicators of performance
of individual centres available from Local Data Company.

Would any work by the student need to be carried out on site at the Company with the exception of supervisory
meetings?
