PERSONAL STATEMENT
I’m a committed and enthusiastic individual with the desire to achieve my maximum potential in the
games industry as a 3D Environment Artist and Technical Artist.
From a young age I’ve been committed to the area of Computer Games and this has led me to become
incredibly passionate about my work. I’ve constantly set myself new challenges throughout my life such
as self-teaching myself programs and running a team of artists and designers in projects at university.
I can adapt well to new situations and thrive as a member of a team in a short space of time to bring the
best out of myself and others, as well as working independently to the same level if required.
Personal Skills and Achievements
-
I have an excellent ability to lead teams and establish a good communication network within this as
shown in my Journeyman and Advanced Game Development modules at University
I was lucky enough to be given an opportunity to work at TT Games before I finished University which I
hold as a huge compliment
I can consistency achieve high standards in my work as well as adhere to strict deadlines and manage my
time effectively
I find problem solving an exciting task full of new challenges
I always push my skillset as much as I can and continue my progression outside of work
I have a lot of experience in public speaking by previously presenting in front of 200 people on a weekly
basis as well as doing a presentation on augmented reality in Birmingham to future investors
I’ve been an official student representative for Adobe at Teesside University
Computing Skills
I have a vast range of knowledge in computing and I’m always looking for new software to incorporate
and improve my current pipeline. I’ve self-taught myself software and I pride myself in the ability to pick
up new software quickly.
In my main area of 3D Modelling I use Autodesk 3DS Max and Maya but I’ve also had a lot of experience
with Lightwave 3D and Autodesk Mudbox/Z-Brush for high-poly sculpting.
Other software I like to use within my pipeline include Marmoset Engine, XNormal and the Quixel Suite.
I also have extensive knowledge within UDK and Unreal Engine 4 in which I’ve created my own shaders as
well as organising, importing and optimising assets within the engine. I also have a limited knowledge of
Unity.
I’ve recently gained a lot of knowledge of working with game engines and pipelines for current-gen
consoles on large titles at TT Games.
