The Niceville Public Library will be set up with Scrabble boards for the adult community to play and enjoy on Wednesday, July 1, 15, & 29 beginning at 9:30 a.m. Please keep in mind that you don’t have to be an expert to participate and all skill levels are welcome. Meet the Author, Cym Lowell At the Niceville Community Center on Thursday, July 23 @ 6:00 pm come meet author Cym Lowell. He will talk about his book “Jaspar’s War,” and his initiative, Operation: Next Chapter and learn how all book sales go toward helping wounded service men and women by supporting the work being done by Soldiers’ Angels and Patriot Paws. Books may be purchased with a check. Free and open to the public. Christmas in July - Craft Join us in the Niceville Library on Thursday, July 9 at 2:30 pm as we create a quilted ornament (no sew)! Social Media - "Are you Oversharing? -- Cyber Safety Program Guest speaker will be Michelle Ward. This free program will be held in the Library on July 30 at 6:00 pm. YOUTH SERVICES PROGRAMS: Mr. Mac says… On July 2 in the Niceville Community Center @ 10:30 am join us as we welcome singer/songwriter Mr. Mac. Be ready to get out of your seat and move to the music! This is an engaging children’s’ program with motion, music and more. Don’t miss the fun! Animal Avengers! Heroes of the Wild Animal Superheroes? Animal Avengers will feature live, exotic wildlife from all over the world that possess very unique abilities. Enhanced adaptations for sight, sound, touch, strength and movement allow these animals to overcome impossible barriers. The audience will be asked to interact with the animals through “hands-on” volunteering, question & answer and crowd participation activities. All are guaranteed an up-close and personal experience. This free program will be held in the Niceville Children’s Park on July 14 @ 10:30 am – 11:30 am. Reading Education Assistance Dogs Reading is a wonderful opportunity for a child to build his or her imagination and begin to build skills for his or her future. Libraries are a wonderful resource, and Therapy Dogs can be a great way to help children discover how much fun their local library can be. Over time your child’s reading ability and confidence can improve, which will make them enjoy reading even more. Registration is required. Please sign up in YS program room. Reading will be on Tuesday, July 28 @ 4 – 6 pm. Family Movie Come join us on Saturday, July 18 in the YS program room at 10:30 am. Baby Bookworms This lapsit program consists of music, stories and rhymes especially chosen to build the bond between you and your child. The program is suited for children from birth to age 3. Please meet in YS program room 9:30 for Prewalkers, and 10:30 for Walkers on Thursday, July 9 & 23. Summer of Numbers July 23 for ages 5+ at 6:00 pm Registration Required. Summer Storytime: “Super Heroes All Around” @ 10:30 am for ages 3-6 on July 8 & July 10 and @ 12:30 pm for ages 7-12 on July 8 only. “Bam! Pow!
