To All West Haven Employees and the General Public:
This morning, Tuesday, April 28, 2015, I was informed that the City Hall parking lot will receive a face-lift
of new pavement starting Wednesday, April 29, and finishing approximately Tuesday, May 5. I am aware
that this will be an adjustment; but to have this done properly, we must work together.
Here is the schedule:
On Wednesday, April 29, you will have access through the Savin Avenue entrance. The Center Street
entrance will be closed. You will be able to park in the unmarked area. Once the milling is completed near
Center Street, the milling will begin on the Savin Avenue entrance. This entrance will be closed to mill the
other side of the lot. Then, on Monday, May 4, the lot is scheduled to be paved. Please exercise patience
so we can get the desired result.
Due to parking restrictions, it might be advisable to give yourself a few extra minutes to adjust to this
temporary change.
Anyone who drives a city vehicle cannot leave the vehicle here overnight. It must be moved from the lot.
Your potential parking options are Main Street, Savin Avenue and Center Street, the municipal lot on
Curtiss Place, and the former Stiles School lot on Main Street.
I know this is an inconvenience, so we thank you in advance for your understanding.
