With the Wrong Side on the inside, fold the knitted piece in half, cast on edge to cast off edge. Join both sets of row ends using mattress stitch to form a 'pouch'. Sew in ends not needed for the final seam. Stuff firmly. Place open edges together with the seams already completed exactly opposite each other. On one side of the completed seams cast on stitches will be opposite cast on stitches and on the other side of the completed seams cast off stitches will be opposite cast off stitches. When sewn, the closing seam will be at right angles (90 degrees) to the bottom folded edge. Join the seam by neatly oversewing. Sew in end.
