Frogs Unite the World - Storytelling and Craft by Debra Ballou
Wednesday April 23, 2014 2:00 PM
Recommended Ages: 5-12
Join the Friends of the East Kingston Library as we listen to folktales by renowned
seacoast storyteller Debra Ballou. She will entertain us with stories and fun facts
about frogs from all over the world. Children will also engage in activities including
decorating a frog mask and creating spring peepers.
New Hampshire native, Debra Ballou, storyteller, writer, and environmental educator,
tells cultural and natural history stories including: folk tales, fairy tales, original tales,
personal stories, poems, and stories from indigenous tribes of North America. Some
stories include audience participation, musical instruments, and singing. With twenty
years of experience, Debra performs and conducts workshops in retirement
communities, classrooms, nature centers, libraries, museums, restaurants, and special
events. She has performed on college and community radio programs.
All Program & Events are sponsored by The Friends of the East Kingston Public Library.
