Caregiver Coalition of
Northeast Florida
The Caregiver Coalition of Northeast Florida promotes
awareness and knowledge of, sensitivity to and support
for family caregiving in Northeast Florida. Its vision is that
all family caregivers will have knowledge of and access
to resources that support them and those in their care.
• More than 65 million people, 29 percent of the U.S.
population, provide care for a chronically ill, disabled or
aged family member or friend during any given year
and spend an average of 20 hours per week providing
care for their loved one.
Coalition partner organizations combine their resources
to education and support for the more than 100,000
estimated caregivers in our community.

Key Coalition programs include:
• Caregiver Expo – May 16, 2015
at UNF Herbert University Center
Caregiver Expo gives caregivers a place to “refresh
and renew.” Along with nationally recognized keynote
speakers, Expo welcomes more than 100 exhibitors,
which provide information and valuable resources,
including healthcare and senior services, community
support, health screenings and fun offerings such as
massage, hair care and giveaways. Caregivers will
leave feeling recharged and informed of ways they
can focus on their own self-care. Admission is free.
• “Caring for the Caregiver” Family Caregiving
Conferences : These free conferences feature expert
speakers, community exhibitors, complimentary meals
and door prizes. Most also feature adult care services
for care receivers.
• Caregiver Connections Newsletter: Every other month,
Caregiver Connections features educational stories
and information about local caregiver events and
support groups.
• MyCaregiverConnection.org: This website is a great
resource for local caregiver news and information,
including an events calendar.
