Dear Contestant,
Congratulations on your decision to participate in the Miss ICC Scholarship
Pageant! I am really looking forward to working with you. I am confident
that you will not only enjoy your experience, but that you will also gain a
lot of valuable skills by competing in the Miss America Scholarship
Program. If there is anything I can do to help you, please just ask!
Please use this manual to ensure that you turn in all of the required
paperwork to participate in the pageant. Everything must be turned in to my
office (Humanities 214), which is located on the second floor of the
Humanities building, by the September 20th deadline at 3:00pm.
Each attached from should be completed in its entirety. Neatness and
professionalism is encouraged. All items should be placed in a large manila
envelope in the order of the Participant Manual Checklist listed on the
second page of this manual. Please do not fold any of the attached forms.
All items on this list must be submitted by September 20, 2013 or you will
not be permitted to enter the Miss ICC Scholarship Pageant.

REQUIREMENTS FOR MISS ICC CONTESTANTS
STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING
The Miss ICC Pageant is organized as a nonprofit college event that strives to fulfill the following purposes:
1. The provision of scholarship funds.
2. The representation, with integrity and charm, of Itawamba Community College throughout the course of the reign of Miss ICC.
3. The promotion of ICC for recruiting students and representing the College.
4. The development of character in individuals involved in the Miss Itawamba Community College Program.
If the crowned contestant fails to represent ICC to the best of her ability, upholding each contractual obligation outlined below, the crown
and title will be decimated by the Itawamba Community College Appeals Committee. This action will be final and supported by the College
Administration.
DEFINITION OF RELATIONSHIP
1. Miss ICC must realize and recognize the fact that for the year (equivalent to the period of time extending from the 2014 to 2015 Miss ICC
Pageant) of her reign she will and must be Miss ICC at all times.
a. She must abide by all rules and regulations of the Miss Mississippi and Miss America
Scholarship Pageants.
b. Miss ICC is expected to always conduct herself with the utmost respect and integrity.
c. Miss ICC is, in a way, a celebrity, a name, and a public servant and is to conduct
herself in such manner.
d. Underage drinking or involvement in activities where underage drinking is taking
place is strictly prohibited.
e. Use of any illicit substance or involvement in any activities where use of illicit
substances is taking place is strictly prohibited.
e. FaceBook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts must be turned to PRIVATE during her reign and
director must have access to contestant’s social media accounts.
f. Miss ICC must agree to sell at least ten ads for the Miss Mississippi Organization.
g. Miss ICC must agree to not work another job during the ten days prior to the Miss Mississippi
Pageant.
h. Miss ICC must get permission from the Pageant Director before she registers for summer
school.
i. She must maintain immaculate personal grooming whether on campus, going
shopping, or on any personal errands.
2. The Miss ICC Pageant, through the Pageant Director, has absolute management control of Miss ICC for the entire year of her reign. This
statement includes all complimentary appearances, on and off campus activities as Miss ICC, parties and/or anything concerning her
whereabouts which may include an introduction as Miss ICC. All appearances as Miss ICC must be approved by the Director. This
includes but is not limited to television interviews, commercials, meetings, appearances, etc. Outside parties to the Miss ICC Pageant
Director and Committee are strictly prohibited from assisting Miss ICC throughout her year of reign as she makes decisions that affect her
competition or the College.
Miss ICC must adhere to the sole guidance of the talent coach, wardrobe consultants, interview coach, physical fitness training,
and all other pageant consulting contracts as prescribed by the Pageant Director.
Miss ICC must fully understand that she (or her family/support system) is not to purchase/charge anything to Itawamba
Community College or to any member of the Miss ICC Committee in preparation for the Miss MS pageant, this includes the
ICC Bookstore. Miss ICC must receive full approval of her competition wardrobe and talent selection. This includes, but is not
limited to, talent selection, talent costume, evening gown, swimsuit, interview suit, coming and going outfits, and all accessories
needed for the Miss Mississippi Pageant and appearances.
Miss ICC must agree to refer all appearance requests to the Pageant Director for approval before agreeing to the appearance.
This includes but is not limited to, television interviews, television commercials, public meetings, school sanctioned meetings, etc.
3. Management coordination is most important to insure efficient representation. To ensure this, Miss ICC in a harmonious manner will:
Promptly respond to all requests made by the Pageant Director.
Meet all deadlines set by the Pageant Director and the State Organization.
Meet with the Director weekly during her reign as Miss ICC.
Refer all appearance requests to the Pageant Director.
Refer all press, radio, or TV requests to the Pageant Director.
Honor and fulfill all approved appearances scheduled by the Pageant Director.
Maintain an up to date calendar in the Office of Miss ICC with all personal commitments, class schedules, work schedules, etc.
Properly prepare herself to adequately and successfully meet the requirements of approved appearances and the Miss MS competition.
Agree to attend the Miss ICC Director’s Briefing (TBA), Miss Mississippi Orientation Seminar (TBA),
and the Miss Mississippi Pageant (TBA).
Miss ICC, along with her parent/s or legal guardian, must attend Contestant Orientation and be responsible for
transportation to, during, and home from this trip.
Miss ICC, along with her parent/s or legal guardian, must meet with the Pageant Director within one week of crowning.
The person who attends these events must be a legal guardian.
THE MISS ICC PAGEANT DIRECTOR WILL:
1. Confirm all appearances and requirements pertaining thereto.
2. Ascertain that all prizes, scholarships and gifts are presented to Miss ICC.
3. Screen all appearance requests and protect Miss ICC from undesirable appearances.
4. Maintain Miss ICC’s calendar of appearances and notify her with adequate notice of each appearance.
5. Provide for adequate training, coaching, rehearsal, etc., for the role of Miss ICC.
6. Arrange for and execute all press coverage for all appearances.
7. Assist in the provision and approval of an ample wardrobe for all appearances as well as for competition at the Miss Mississippi
Pageant. The Miss ICC Scholarship funds will be provided to assist with the financial burden of all purchases including supplies,
wardrobe, consulting and photography.
8. Assist in the preparation of all Miss Mississippi required documentation.
9. Maintain a checklist for all Miss Mississippi requirements to ensure that all deadlines are adhered to.
MISS ICC WILL:
1. Provide her own wardrobe/photography/consulting requirements over and above those that may be provided by scholarship funds.
2. Maintain her wardrobe in a cleaned and pressed condition.
3. Maintain her body as to be free from any visible tattoos and body piercing (except ears) and to maintain immaculate personal
fitness and nutrition.
4. Agree to conduct herself in an upstanding manner throughout her reign, as to make ICC proud to have her named Miss ICC 2014.
5. Agree that her services are extraordinary and unique and there is no adequate remedy at law for a breach of this agreement, and in the
event of such a breach or attempted or threatened breach, the Miss ICC Pageant will be entitled to equitable relief by terminating her
right to the title of Miss ICC. Removal of title/crown will be handled through the Office of Student Services Appeals Committee.
6. Maintain a minimum cumulative and semester grade point average of 2.5 and full-time status throughout the Miss ICC reign.
7. It is further understood that, should a breach in this agreement be executed by the reigning Miss ICC and/or willful disregard to the
rules and regulations set forth by the Miss ICC Pageant, all claims to unused prizes, scholarships, and awards will revert to the
Miss ICC Pageant and the first runner-up may be declared her successor in such an event.
Attorney Review of Application and Contract:
I have been given a sufficient opportunity to review this contract. I have also had the opportunity to consult with an attorney
of my own choosing to give me legal advice with regard to this document.

I understand that this contract is a legal document and that if I sign and submit it to the Miss Itawamba Community College Organization
and it is accepted, it will create legal obligations that will be binding on me. By signing this contract I understand that I am agreeing to be
bound by this contract.

all conditions, rules and regulations set forth by the Miss ICC Pageant, and further commit to abide by these rules both as a contestant and in
the event I should win the title of Miss ICC. I further understand, if I do not uphold the rules and regulations of the Miss ICC Title
explained in this contract my crown and title will be revoked, an action that will be final and upheld by the Itawamba Community College,
Office of Student Services, Appeals Committee.
