The main objective of this annual conference is to
educate our colleagues regarding the identification,
prevention and intervention of mental health
disorders in pregnancy and postpartum. This is also
an opportunity for sharing ideas and networking
with colleagues from a range of backgrounds –
health practitioners (e.g. psychiatrists, physicians,
nurses, social workers, clinical staff), allied
professionals, researchers and academics.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
Canada Research Chair in Perinatal Community
Health; Shirley Brown Chair in Women’s Mental
Health Research; University of Toronto, Faculty of
Medicine, Department of Psychiatry
Cindy-Lee has over 60 peer-reviewed
publications related to diverse
maternal and infant health outcomes
including the detection, prevention
and treatment of postpartum
depression. She has also co-authored
a best-selling book for health
professionals caring for women with
postpartum depression and has
completed five Cochrane systematic
reviews related to perinatal (antenatal
and postpartum) depression. She
developed the Breastfeeding SelfEfficacy Theory and corresponding
Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale,
which is being used internationally in
over 20 different countries, and is an
active consultant in the development
of several maternal peer support
programs.
The focus of this year's conference:
• minority moms – mental health of immigrants
• traumatized women – their risks in peripartum
• infanticide – profiles of women who commit
infanticide and clues to detect them
• women with addictions
• community resources for vulnerable patients
• safety of psychotropics in the perinatal period

CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION
On-line registration confirmation is automatic
after registering on-line. A tax receipt will be
sent approximately 2 weeks after registering.
For all other methods of registration (mail,
fax) confirmation will be in the form of a
tax receipt. No other confirmation will be
sent. Please allow 2 weeks for registration
processing.
REFUND POLICY
A registration refund will be made upon
written request if made at least 2 weeks before
the start of the program. However $50 will be
retained for administrative costs. No refunds
will be available for cancellations made within
2 weeks of the start of the program and
thereafter. NOTE: Refunds are processed only
on the return of original receipt. All receipts
must be returned within 30 days after
program date.
