Today a modern international college for further agricultural education, supported by the Danish ministry of education, with proud traditions and a historical atmosphere. For Danish students the full range of agricultural modules has for almost 130 years, been represented from the basic farming education, over two main courses and to the unique 3module management education only conducted at five academies in Denmark. Furthermore providing lecturers for educating the agricultural technologists and bachelors with future in the field of advisory, research and educational branch. Recognition Dalum Academy of Agricultural Business (DAAB) is approved and supported by the Danish ministry of education, allowed to conduct the full range of agricultural vocational and management education. The agreement follows an arrangement that DAAB is obligated to have an internationally focused strategy interacting Danish and international students, in Denmark or abroad. We believe that the personal competences in the future will be valued at least equal to the technical, because the world will be in a constant development and change” At Odense department the academy concentrates the adult students in newly build or modernized historical buildings, giving the opportunity to have a highly educated and dedicated group of lecturers, partially theoretically and practically oriented, dedicated in collaborating and utilizing their specific knowledge to offer very specialized training or interdisciplinary case related projects. Accomodations We offer a wide range of accomodating possibilities, having room for 150 selfserving bed places, 70 weekly serviced single rooms. Training sites In Korinth department we have a large range of technical in-farm and field equipment, tools and repairshops to provide basic practical training. For trial work assignments we cooperate with nearby commercial farms, accepting only small groups after experiensing best tutoring methods in that way. Two buffet dinning halls giving the opportunity for full bording. Having room for small groups of 2 - 6 persons and also for large assemblies of up to 600 persons We also offer fairly priced 3-star up to high standard 5-star hotels close to the academy. Situated in the center of the island Funen, we are surrounded with world leading agricultural production sites. Having a close relationship to a couple of dedicated farmers we ensure close follow up, fast adjustments and continous development suited for individual needs. Culture Odense is the 3rd largest city in Denmark offering all types of entertainment and cultural possibillities. Theater, music, cinemas, shopping, and of course the birthplace and residence of Hans Christian Andersen is 3 km from academy. Furthermore Denmarks Capitol Copenhagen and the city of Aarhus is less than two hours drive away. Instructors, teachers and advisory specialists. Twelve week program for Unit managers, managing operators or highly educated ag science with a major in animal production minimum 2 years related work experience. Purpose Purpose Processing considerations, inspirering and aiming for decision taking before investing, developing or changing a production. At the same time getting first hand knowledge of danish pig production best practice to implement. Aiming to be able to independantly take care of a pig production, using latest knowledge or getting new inputs to bring danish pig production best practice to use.
