During the winter months however only Ryanair offer the service from Stansted airport. A regular bus and train service between La Rochelle & Rochefort makes for fast easy connections (45-50 minutes) year round. Alternatively a rental car can be sourced at La Rochelle airport. Cruising in Western France is highly recommended and is often described as one of the finest and most interesting in Europe especially with its many offshore islands and significantly better climate than the UK, however if you want to return her to the UK then this can be easily achieved in a couple of weeks. If you fancy the Med instead, then why not consider a relaxing trip via the Canal du Midi and be in the warm crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean in just 2-3 weeks.
