Trócaire: is the official overseas development agency of the Catholic Church in Ireland. Trócaire work with
communities in the developing world to deliver long-term positive change to people’s lives. Today Trócaire works in
over 20 countries on issues including livelihoods, human rights, gender equality, HIV, climate change and
emergency relief. In Ireland, Trócaire raises awareness about the causes of poverty through their outreach
programmes in the education sector, through parish networks, and through their public campaigns and advocacy
work. This week end March 21 st/22 nd Mr Don Wildy from Trócaire will speak at all Masses in the Parish
promoting the work of Trócaire and encouraging our support for their efforts in the third world countries .
New Parish Envelopes.
The new box of Parish Envelopes which begins with the Trócaire Envelope on Holy Thursday 2 nd April, is being
delivered to people in their homes. There is just one envelope left in the present box. We say a most sincere thanks
to all who use their envelopes throughout the year and to all who contribute generously to the parish in difficult
financial times. If you have not used your envelopes during the past year or if you have a number of envelopes left,
please make a yearly contribution in the final envelope in your box next week-end 28/29th March. If you would like
to make your contribution to the parish by Direct Debit, please ring Broomfield Parochial House 9743617. If you
are new to the parish or have started to earn an income, please drop your name and address in the collection bag at
Saturday Vigil / Sunday Mass or into Broomfield Parochial House (back door letterbox) so that a new box of
envelopes can be delivered to you.
