CSU CHANNEL ISLANDS EXTENDED UNIVERSITY GMAT or GRE Fee Waiver Policy The GMAT or GRE Fee Waiver Program is intended to help economically disadvantaged students access graduate business education. If approved, the student will receive a fee waiver that can be used for one test administration. The number of waivers available is very limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Students are not eligible for multiple fee waiver awards. Consideration will be given to, but is not limited to, students from the following groups: 1. Displaced workers 2. Under-employed college graduates 3. Veterans and military personnel both active and recently inactive and their spouses and/or dependents 4. Historically under-represented populations Students must have applied for admission to California State University Channel Islands Extended University and have official transcripts on file with the admissions and records department to be considered for a GMAT or GRE fee waiver award. Completed petitions for GMAT or GRE fee waivers will be reviewed by a committee whose decisions will be binding. The student must have their fee waiver information at the time their exam appointment is scheduled. Students may only request one GMAT or GRE fee waiver code that can be used to take the exam one time. After Extended University has used its allotted number of vouchers for the year, we may not be able to provide more vouchers to additional students even if they exhibit financial need. Waivers must be used be used before the given expiration date. Receipt of a GMAT or GRE fee waiver does not guarantee an offer of admission to a degree program. Applicants must meet the admission requirements noted in the CI catalog for their respective degree program. Additionally, applicants are not guaranteed additional scholarship or financial assistance. Applicants are welcome to apply for other scholarships and/or Federal Financial Aid separate from the GMAT or GRE fee waiver process. To participate in this program you must complete the following steps: 1. Apply for admission to a graduate degree program at CSU Channel Islands Extended University 2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. The FAFSA requires you to use the federal school code for CSU Channel Islands: GMAT Code: ZMG – GJ – 04 GRE Code: 4091 3. Complete the fee waiver petition and submit to Kristin Carpenter, kristin.carpenter@csuci.edu If your FAFSA demonstrates financial need and fee waivers are still available then Extended University will contact you via e-mail with a GMAT or GRE fee waiver code that can be used to pay the cost of taking the exam.
