A rich traditional finish on exquisite
cathedral mahogany veneers is accented
by a casual antique white painted finish
on selected pieces for a pop of color and
eclecticism, making Leesburg a fresh
traditional look for today’s interiors. The
mixture of rich mahogany with the more
casual antique white finish results in an
unexpected twist on classic style with a
fashion flair.
Signature pieces include a diamond-tufted
cream-colored upholstered bed with
a mahogany border on the headboard
and footboard and nailhead trim in an
antique brass finish. Dining chairs with a
carved ribbon-motif back and a dramatic
quatrefoil-shaped carved mirror are both
available in either the mahogany or antique
white finishes.

The 54-inch round table mixes the rich mahogany and the antique white
finish, featuring the antique white finish on the base and apron with a
contrasting mahogany top. The two-tone table finish invites you to mix
the finishes on the carved ribbon-motif chairs as well.
The spacious 72-inch-wide Leesburg server has three drawers including
a felt-lined center drawer with a silver tray. It also offers adjustable wood
shelves behind each beveled glass door.

Quality from start to finish
Of all the aspects of wood furniture, the finish most visibly reflects
its character, quality and style. While the finish is one of the last
things we do, it’s the first thing you see. That’s why at Hooker, we
utilize a multiple-step finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This
results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and
durability to our finishes. Through hand-craftsmanship such as
rubbing and padding, our finishes “feel” as good as they look, with
a smoothness that is delightful to the touch.
Wood & Veneer Construction
Many of our furniture items are constructed of hardwood solids
and veneers or hand-painted finishes over durable wood products
such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board.
MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas
that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable
wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold
and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results
in stronger and longer-lasting furniture. Due to a wide variety of
wood species and decorative designs used in our furniture styles,
variations in construction are possible.
