The Corvette Gazette www.BaltimoreCoCorvetteClub.com President’s Message: “This is how we do it” I don’t know how much higher the price of premium will go, but it is really starting to put a strain on my wallet. I dropped $50 filling up the Vette. B-TRIPLE-C, we have been real busy! We celebrated our 2nd Anniversary in June! We now have two locations EVERY WEEK where we can “Meet & Greet” folks with Vettes. Every Friday at the Boulevard at Capital Plaza (6p-10p) and Sat (5p—7p) with Friends With Corvettes Club of Baltimore at Security Square Mall. We have invited other Corvette Clubs as well as Vette Owners to come share in the excitement. We also have Super Sunday Cruises to scenic points in the area (Thanks Bazz). These weekly events have further enhanced our club as one of the best if not “THE BEST” Corvette Club in Maryland. When I say “the Best”, I can’t but to think to say thanks and single out, Mike, Denise, Bazz, Rob, Tom, Pete and Steve, who back me up when I need help. My goal is to have a Corvette Weekend where all Corvette Clubs can get together for a weekend of fun. As always, we look for people who share in the love and lifestyle of the car, but more than that, a strong sense of camaraderie of belonging to a family of Vette owners. Big shout out to the UCCC family! I could not say thank you without mentioning Lewis BeCoats, Carl Drummer, Ernie Groover, Linda ,Mz Tee & Nikki from Metro Vettes CC, as well as my good friends Steve, Randy, Phil, Ed, Mike and Crazy Randy from Friends With Corvettes Club of Baltimore as well as others who assisted us in our 1st Summerfest All Corvette Car Show and Meet & Greet which was held at Fox Chevy. Special thanks go out to Shawn Chambers whose help was indispensable. We look forward to doing it again in 2007. Look for it to be bigger and better too! Check out at the photos of this and others events we have done, this year. More to come!!!! Welcome to our newest members, Tom Davis, 03 Convertible, and Cassandra Wells, 03 Coupe. Sssh! See them on the back page! Special thanks to Bryan “Chris” Trussell Sr. our webmaster as he has added video, newsletter archives and membership forms available for download. It continues to be a excellent work in progress. We have had over 2500 hits! You are invited to “The Black Party on the Water” on Saturday, Oct 28, 2006. Look inside for more details. From my family to yours, thank you for your calls, concerns, prayers, flowers and visits during my recent hospitalization. I know now you must take the time to enjoy family. Tomorrow is not promised, so enjoy every day as if it was the last. Let’s also continue to expand our network of communication with each other. If it is something I or our club can do to help, please give us a call. God Bless! Be Safe & Happy Motoring! Jeff Scruggs President & Founder 410-258-8638 Est. The Baltimore County Corvette Club and Friends With Corvettes Club began sponsoring a weekly Meet & Greet every Saturday at Security Square Mall (weather permitting). In such a short time, we have been encouraged by the number of people who have "dropped in" to observe, discuss and photograph the growing number of Corvettes on exhibit each week. These numbers have steadily increased...more and more folks are coming out to display and see the cars. The positive feedback we have received from the Meet & Greet sessions continue to reinforce the values both clubs hold near and dear. So bring your chair, wash and fill up your car and come out to "fellowship" with folks. Make sure you tell a friend or fellow Vette owner.
