Invitation
The Canadian Freestyle Ski Association is pleased to invite all eligible Freestyle Skiers to attend the
2015 National Freestyle Championships to be held at Centre d’excellence Val St-Côme in Val
St-Come, Quebec, March 21-22, 2015. The Organizing Committee of the Event will host the
Competition in accordance with the International Ski Competition Rules of the F.I.S. and the
superseding rules and regulations of the Canadian Freestyle Skiing National Championships.

The Canadian Ski Association is sanctioning this Competition. The Competition is being
organized by the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association and the Fédération Québécoise de ski
acrobatique.
The Competition will be held under F.I.S. Rules and Regulations for Freestyle Skiing and CFSA
special rules for National Championships.
The Competition is comprised of two (2) events.
The Competition will proceed as follows and in accordance with the Official Program.

General Information
Date and Location - The Competition will take place as follows:
Competitions will be from March 21 – 22, 2015 at Centre d’excellence acrobatique val St-Côme.
Training will start on Thursday, March 19, 2015.
Entries – must be received no later than Saturday, March 14 2015 at 5:00 p.m. Entry Fees (per
participant) are $125.00 for one discipline, $150.00 for two disciplines.
Payment at the registration desk: cash or check “Val St-Côme Compétitions Acrobatiques”.
Athlete Eligibility:

FIS age required: 14 as of Jan 1st in the year of the event

National Team Athletes are in

Athletes who have earned a Nor-Am spot
•
Remaining spots will be allocated based on:

Canada Cup Rankings following Le Massif Can Series
•
Athlete must meet Can Selection MPL to be eligible (in the current competition year):
Club athletes who made one Finals at a Canadian Series event (singles or duals) in the previous
season December 1 to April 30 of each year. Injury clause could be in effect under the guidance of
the individual PSO.

Liability and Accident Insurance - All athletes, officials and other members of the Divisions who
attend and participate in the event shall do so at their own risk. Every competitor is required to
have his/her own medical and life insurance and a valid CFSA Membership. The Organizing
Committee, Canadian Freestyle Ski Association, Canadian Snowsports Association, Fédération
Québécoise de ski acrobatique shall not be responsible for accidents, damaged equipment and/or
second or third party claims during the staging of the event.
Transportation - Transportation in and around Montreal and between the hotels and the Centre
d’excellence acrobatique Val St-Côme is the responsibility of the athletes and their teams.
Accommodations : Auberge Val St Côme
Teams are responsible for booking by email and paying for their own accommodations and must
provide a credit card to guarantee the rooms at the time of booking. No reimbursement.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Please note that there will be ZERO TOLERANCE for any offensive behaviour during the event. Any
damage or disruption to hotel, Centre d’excellence Val St-Côme or other proprety will result in
the offender(s) being immediately removed from the event, from the hotel, and having their
membership with the CFSA suspended.
Lift Tickets – Lift tickets will be offered to team members as follows:

National Freestyle Championships Banquet
The banquet will take place after the last day of competition on Sunday March 22 at Auberge Val
Saint-Côme. All athletes, coaches, accompanying parents and officials are invited to join us. The
cost of the three-course meal will be CA$ 27.00 (tax and gratuity included). Tickets will be sold at
the Competition registration desk. Seating will be limited. Do not wait to buy your ticket.
Race office – Centre d’Excellence Acrobatique Val St-Come Thursday March 19 @ 8 a.m.
Team Captains’ Meetings – The 1st Team Captains’ Meeting will be held at Centre d’excellence
acrobatique Val St-Côme, beginning on Thursday, March 19, 2015 @ 4:00 p.m.
Bibs - will be available from the Competition Office. A deposit of $20.00 is required per competitor,
which will be refunded upon return of the bib. Bibs must be worn on all sites during official training
and for all events as well as award ceremonies.
Biographies – Biography forms will be handed out to each competitor upon registration.
Completed biographies must be returned to the organizing committee by team leaders meeting on
Thursday, March 19, 2015.
Schedule - the Organizing Committee reserves the right to change the schedule of events from
those stated in the program.
