Reception for Linda Thompson, Gathering Place
Faith Studies @First
Love Offering for Cedric—Cedric Gibb has been our full-time
custodian for the last two years. The week before Easter he wasn’t feeling well, but continued to show up for work. On Easter,
he was admitted to ICU. He’s had pneumonia, infections, malnourishment, and dehydration. All these weeks later, he remains
hospitalized. He is gaining some strength back, but won’t be
able to return to work. We are collecting a Love Offering to help
with medical expenses and continued care. If you would like to
make a special donation, please make your check payable to FUMC and note
“Cedric” on the memo line. All donations are much appreciated.
Summer Choir—Summer is typically a time for vacations and time to recuperate from busy schedules. Chancel Choir has been very busy and will take a welldeserved vacation; so the annual tradition of Summer Choir starts Sunday,
June 7-August 30. Summer Choir will rehearse at 10:00 am on Sundays and
sing at the 10:50 service.—Mark Kurtz

Respond to Nepal Disaster. United Methodist Committee on Relief
(UMCOR) is already there. To donate, note “Nepal” on check memo line.
Job Well-Done!
"Children always come first at Rainbow Factory," has been Linda Thompson's mantra for
these last 28 years. She began as a preschool
teacher before becoming the Director of our
preschool. She has nurtured young lives and
cared for their families. She has trained
teachers and infused her energy and passion
into Rainbow Factory. She now starts a new
chapter of life: retirement! We wish her the
best. There will be a reception for Linda in
the Gathering Place at 9:30 on Sunday, May
31. Stop by to thank her for her many years
of loving God's children!
Thank you for supporting the ministries of FUMC.
Contribution letters are provided to identified donors for
tax deduction records at year end.
