What: Kansas City Goes to Washington Rally When: April 9th at 11:30 a.m. Where: 39th & Prospect (over) APTA’s NATIONWIDE CALL The current federal transportation funding bill, Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century, (MAP-21) was a temporary two-year bill that expires May 31, 2015. We need Congress to pass a dedicated bill that invests in public transportation long-term. Otherwise future public transportation projects Kansas City and communities across the country will face tremendous uncertainty. A long-term transportation bill is needed for better and expanded transportation options, and to continue to grow our economy.
