An ESSENTIAL one day incident management workshop on kidnap for ransom and extortion and preincident planning and effective response. Delivered by our experienced speakers. The full one day training course will include briefings, interactive role play and group discussions covering a wide variety of Kidnap, Ransom and Extortion crisis situations. There will be an in-depth presentation on the psychological impact these events can have as well as a presentation by our Insurance industry expert on what your responsibilities are to your employees. This course will give you the confidence to deal with a crisis or kidnap and our training will prepare you to deal with all aspects of the situation including the inevitable ongoing psychological effects, both for an employee and their family. Instructor - Nicholas Howard A UK Police officer for 27 years, retiring in the rank of Detective Superintendent, having previously completed over five years’ military service in HM Royal Marine Commandos. A UK Police Nationally accredited Kidnap & Extortion (K&E) Senior Investigating Officer (SIO), and has fourteen years’ K&E experience as a Senior Detective Officer within UK law enforcement. Guest speaker - Dr Lori Bisbey, BSc, MA, PhD, C.Psychol, Dip FMSA, MEWI HCPC registered counselling psychologist, working in this field for the past 27 years with a Master’s Degree, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology, with an extensive background in forensic clinical psychology plus a post-graduate Diploma in Forensic Medicine and a post-graduate certificate in whole life coaching. Guest speaker - Gregory Firnau, Vice-President Financial Lines, AIG Gregory Firnau has led the Special Risk practice (Kidnap, Ransom and Extortion insurance) at AIG Europe Ltd since 2011. Prior to this role he was Chief Underwriting Officer for AIG Financial Lines in Europe and served as international legal counsel for AIG Financial Lines in New York. From 2001 to 2006, Gregory practiced law in the Mergers & Acquisitions Dept at Skadden, Arps in New York City. He holds a bachelor of common law and bachelor of civil law from McGill University’s Faculty of Law.
