RESUME IT product developer passionate for creating meaningful and experiences I am a 29-year-old native German who moved to Denmark to study IT-Product Development. I just finished my master thesis and I am excited to start working in the fields of UX- and IxD design. Developing and improving IT-related concepts and visualizing ideas are big passions of mine. MARVIN BOMMARIUS 01 | 05 | 1986 Salamanderparken 236 8260 Viby J Creativity plays a big role in my life. Curious and thoughtful by nature my goal is not only to satisfy potential customers but also myself. With a background in the service industry, it is naturally easy for me to network and meet new people with an open mind. Outside work, I love being active with sports like CrossFit, running and swimming etc., and activities that involve media, food and/or friends. EXPERIENCE 2013 - 2015 Waiter 2014 Robothelper / Teacher Den Gamle By Aarhus University At the Aarhus Mini Maker Faire, I helped visitors and especially children to work with LEGO EV3-robots. They had the chance to test their skills, solve some of the proposed missions and get points on last year’s course (2013), from the competition called FIRST LEGO League. 2014 Robothelper / Teacher Aarhus University Up to the FIRST Lego League 2014 challenge in Aarhus, I helped schools to get a brief introduction to LEGO EV3-robots and the FIRST LEGO League challenge. 2014 Workshop facilitator / Research assistant Aarhus University & LEGO At LEGO World 2014, I worked as a crewmember at the stand over the weekend, helping visitors to understand the purpose of the workshop. The workshop was part of a UbiComp project at Aarhus University. I contributed with gathering of qualitative and quantitative workshop data. 2014 Student Programmer marvin@klodset.dk bommarius bommarius @mbommarius Aarhus University I helped developing a prototype for LEGO World 2014, which consisted of a user interface, and a MakeyMakey board, which made it possible to for children and kids to build instruments with LEGO bricks. 2013 Aarhus University Robothelper / Teacher Up to the FIRST Lego League 2013 challenge in Aarhus, I visited various schools to help them work with an EV3-robot and solve some of the proposed missions. 2010-2011 Barkeeper Heidis Bierbar EXPERIENCE 2009 Barkeeper M/F Broen 2008-2009 Volunteer work as a Barkeeper Studenterhus Aarhus 2007 Service MARVIN BOMMARIUS 01 | 05 | 1986 Salamanderparken 236 8260 Viby J Fleggaard 2006-2007 Service 2005-2006 Personal Care Assistant MAXdisco und Veranstaltungszentrum Albertinenstift Altenzentrum Verwaltung EDUCATION 2012 - 2014 Master of Science (M.Sc.), IT Product Development Aarhus University Thesis : Investigating FIRST LEGO League participants difficulties solving the robot task 2008 - 2011 Bachelor, IT Product Development Aarhus University Thesis : How Tangible Computing can enhance the outcome from a BodyBike class marvin@klodset.dk bommarius bommarius @mbommarius Courses Experience Design, Social and Aesthetic Interaction, Service Design, Strategic Design, Shape-Changing Interfaces, Urban Intervention, Physical Design, Interaction Design, Smartphone Applications (Android), Web Technologies, Algorithms and Data structures, Pervasive Computing, Context-Aware Computing, Augmented Reality, Introduction to Audio Design, 3D Modelling, 3D Interaction, 3D Prototyping, Interactive Media, Experience Design, Visualization and Project Communication, Interactive Spaces, Embedded Systems Embodied Agents (Digital Control in a Physical World). It consists of four blocks, each with the same shape. The device had four spots for holding these blocks. Depending on the blocks placement in a given square, different audio samples were played and looped until the block was removed. The challenge was to ‘keep the beat’, and play the samples so they are synced. The idea behind the shapes was to let users learn and memorize combinations over time, so they hopefully would be able to produce music through a visual interpretation of the shapes. This way they could explore the world of music and sampling and develop their own skill-set. The sensors, resistors and microchips were integrated and soldered by ourselves and the cycles were programmed directly into the microchip. The output was transmitted wirelessly to a PC which manipulated the data in Java to play the acutal music samples. marvin@klodset.dk bommarius bommarius @mbommarius Sqitch A visual concept kommunikation of a music player that could fit the product lines in some of the more ‘sophisticated’ companies like Bang & Olufsen. It’s been inspired by using the natures- and the companies ressources to create moodboards and personas that defined their products and target group. Visualization and development has been rapid from low-fi physical to digital by using Rhino 3D and Adobe PS/IL.
