In LANDMECO NEWS June 2013, we covered Sovereigns Foods’ tests of LANDMECOs pan feeding system up against a competing product, and as you might remember, the results were clear and convincing: LANDMECOs equipment was far more efficient and profitable. The final weight was higher, the average daily growth was higher and the FCR was lower. Besides these advantages, the LANDMECO pan feeding system requird a much lower level of manual labour due to the kick-off and easy-clean system. Also, Sovereign Foods’ feed-back on the cleaning process was very positive, as the LANDMECO pan was reported much quicker and easier to clean. And it is the same story we hear from Pieter Buitendag, Metacine (PTY) Ltd, where one of LANDMECOs recent orders was installed. At this point Pieter Buitendag has finished three cycles in the two houses with LANDMECO equipment and the FCR values are really good. The lowest FCR is 1.40 and the highest FCR is 1.50.
