LINDEN POSTCARD SHOW TERMS & CONDITIONS
The Linden Postcard Show is a non-acquisitive open entry contemporary art prize presented by
Linden New Art. 2015 will see $10,000 worth of prizes up for grabs.
> ELIGIBILITY
The Linden Postcard Show is an open entry prize.
The work entered into the prize must have been completed in 2015.
All entries must measure 8” (20cm) x 10” (25.5cm) (landscape or portrait). THIS INCLUDES
ANY FRAMING.
Only 2-dimensional work that can be attached to the wall will be accepted.
All works on paper not framed will be pinned to the wall.
No sculpture or video work will be accepted.
The artworks presented for the exhibition must be the same as the one(s) submitted via the
online entry process.
The work must be available for exhibition from 19 September – 21 November 2015.
Works are to be delivered to Linden New Art between Saturday 5 – Wednesday 9 September
2015.
> Saturday 5 September 11am - 4pm
> Sunday 6 September 11am - 4pm
> Tuesday 8 September 11am - 4pm
> Wednesday 9 September 11am - 8pm
By entering this prize you are confirming that you are the creator and owner of the entered
work/s.
> ENTRY
Entries for the Linden Postcard Show must be submitted using the online entry process
managed by Gallery 247. Please read the step by step guide before entering. (add hyperlink)
Entry fee is $55 for one work, $66 for two works, $77 for three works.
The entry fee is non-refundable and covers administration, return postage and handling.
Artists may enter up to 3 works
Entries close midnight Monday 17 August 2015.
Failure to comply with any of the above will make an entry ineligible.
> EXHIBITION
Exhibition dates Saturday 19 September – Saturday 21 November 2015.
> JUDGING
The judges will award all prizes and these will be announced at the opening night on Friday
18 September 2015 at 6pm. (This will not include the Peoples’ Choice Award), which will be
announced at the end of the exhibition.
The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Linden New Art reserves the right to refuse to display work/s if :
> the work is not in their opinion of sufficient artistic merit, technical and formal resolution
> poses safety risks.
> Work/s which under normally accepted standards, could be considered to be offensive in
terms of pornographic content, character denigration, racial or religious prejudice or
> that in any way do not comply with Linden’s procedure of governance
> SALES
All works must be for sale.
All sales attract a 30% sales commission plus GST eg. $100 sale $30 + GST to Linden =
$33 artist receives $67
> PROMOTION
Entrants agree to Linden New Art reproducing (with no charge) finalist’s work in all publicity
and promotion of the Linden Postcard Show subject to Linden’s discretion. This does not
affect copyright status of the work. Finalist’s images will be published on social media sites
including flickr, instagram, twitter and facebook as well as the Linden’s website.
> FREIGHT AND INSURANCE
Delivery and return freight will be at no cost to Linden.
All artworks will be handled by experienced staff. Linden will not be held responsible for any
loss or damage caused to any work while in transit to and from the gallery. Works will be
covered by Linden insurance whilst on display.
All works exhibited must be delivered to the gallery during the following times:
> Saturday 5 September 11am – 4pm
> Sunday 6 September 11am - 4pm
> Tuesday 8 September 11am - 4pm
> Wednesday 9 September 11am - 8pm
All unsold works will be returned within 14 – 21 days at the completion of the exhibition by
Australia Post.
> INFORMATION
All personal information gathered by Linden New Art will be used solely for the purpose of
administering the Linden Postcard Show 2015 and promotion of other Linden activities.
