HOW TO APPLY FOR CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS
Contact the Guidance Secretary for program information.
Admission deadlines and prerequisite requirements vary
by program or class.
Students self-identifying with a disability will be referred
to Specialized Student Services.
Complete the application form and pay a $30 nonrefundable application fee.
If TABE test is required, make an appointment to take the
test. Testing days and times are usually Wednesday,
7:30am or Thursday, 11:30am or Wednesday 5:30pm

what drives business and profits. In this program, you'll learn how money is used by businesses, non-profit organizations, governments, and
individuals. You'll study both manual and computerized bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll systems. The field of accounting offers stimulating
and challenging work that is continuously evolving with technological and intellectual innovations. Demand is especially high for competent
bookkeepers, accounting clerks, and payroll clerks.

Automotive Service Technology prepares you for entry-level careers in all eight areas of specialization listed by the National Institute of Automotive
Service Excellence. Local dealerships readily hire our students. Some graduates are earning six figure salaries. The Automotive Technology
program is accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (N.A.T.E.F)
The Aircraft Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Technician profession offers many career opportunities ranging from general aviation to commercial
aviation; from aircraft or component manufacturers to aircraft repair and overhaul at both domestic and foreign fixed base operations. This
program consists of two programs with one common core and three occupational completion points and is designed to train students in the skills,
knowledge, and related abilities necessary for entry into the aviation maintenance profession. The student will be prepared for the Federal Aviation
Administration Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification. Many job openings are available because of the retirement rate of Baby Boomers in
this industry.
Do you enjoy creating meals or desserts or special dishes and wonder how you can turn it into a career? Experienced chefs earn high incomes
working at restaurants, hotels, resorts and clubs. In this program you not only learn the basics of food preparation and presentation, but you
create and prepare gourmet dishes and meals. You learn pastry, salad, buffet, soup, sauce, meat and fish preparations and it is all hands-on.
Training provides a great opportunity for you to enter the profession as a prep or line cook, Garde Manager, cold food cook, or baker assistant. The
program is led by a highly-skilled chef. Training includes a wide variety of laboratory activities that provide practical experiences while using
industry standards and sanitation procedures. You gain the foundation and confidence that you need in order to be successful.

This program prepares you for entry into the computer electronics field in a variety of positions ranging from technical help desk to computer
service and repair technician. Learn to build, diagnose, repair, upgrade, configure, and maintain PC computer systems. Gain experience using
diagnostic equipment common to the electronics industry. Prepare to earn your CompTIA A+ certification. Information Technology Essentials,
including PC Hardware & Software is incorporated into the training. You'll access the online modules, work on teams to complete the labs, and
build computers Develop skills using Windows and Linux operating systems

Are you looking for a great and creative hands-on learning experience with a broad foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare you for
employment in the digital world? Become a production assistant or a digital, multimedia or graphic designer. Learn current software used in the
industry including the Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere Pro for video editing, Flash for animation, Photoshop for image editing and scanning, and
Dreamweaver for web page design.
Students in this program learn how to create drawings and computer simulations in support of mechanical and industrial engineers. In addition to
drafting techniques, students study manufacturing processes and materials, the science of metal and technical communication. This program
stresses the understanding of all aspects of the drafting industry and includes training in planning, management, finance, technical and production
skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues, and health, safety, and environmental issues.

Advanced practice class for LPNs/GPNs in IV Therapy. Students will learn aspects used in determination and application of IV therapy, vein site
location and insertion techniques. This course also includes the procedure for Central Line dressing changes.
Working in the legal field is extremely interesting and rewarding. This program prepares you for employment in law firms, clerk of court offices,
corporate and judicial legal offices. You will learn all aspects of office procedures. Develop your technical skills in legal typing and transcription,
document formatting, word processing and computer training, civil litigation, criminal law, and courtroom procedures.
There is one boat for every six households in Southwest Florida, making us Number One per capita in the country for boat ownership. The Marine
Service Technology program focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, removing, and installing marine engines and systems in pleasure
boats, yachts, and commercial craft. You will learn all aspects of electrical, fuel, ignition, cooling, lubrication and drive systems.
You can have the best of both worlds when you learn the professional and technical skills that are in demand, along with medical terminology and
office procedures needed to work in hospitals, insurance companies, clinics, and medical research centers. Learn administrative office duties and
procedures specific to the medical environment: Exceptional planning, management, human relations, decision making, communication, finance,
insurance, technical and production skills, proficiency with touch keyboarding and computer applications including the advanced features in
business software to perform office-related tasks in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software, essential knowledge of
medical terminology to produce and transcribe medical correspondence and forms, and official processing of health insurance documentation.

Course includes: welding safety, basic/advanced welding skills in oxygen acetylene, cutting and brazing, electrical arc welding, MIG, TIG, symbol and
blueprint reading, and fabrication techniques. Students will work with steel, stainless steel and aluminum. MUST PURCHASE SCHOOL INSURANCE.
Designed to meet the requirements for certification as Dental Radiographers in the State of Florida. Participants must be 18 years of age or older,
able to document at least three months of continuous on-the-job training in dental assisting under direct supervision of a Florida licensed dentist.
