1. Understand the prevalence of mental health problems in the population
and recognize the impact of these problems on physical health outcomes.
2. Understand the dynamics of segregated health care and its impact on
total health and overall health care spending.
3. Describe the behavioral health (BH) patient and behavioral provider mismatch.
4. Recognize the importance of whether a model or specific intervention of
care integration can demonstrate actual “added value” consonant with
the goals of the Affordable Care Act.
