Melvin Ingram’s Mission Possible Foundation
San Diego Chargers’ Melvin Ingram and teammates serve dinner at Donovan’s Steak
and Chop House in the Gaslamp for a good cause
SAN DIEGO – (June 2, 2015) – San Diego Chargers’ Outside Linebacker Melvin Ingram welcomed more
than 125 guests to Donovan’s Steak and Chop House in the Gaslamp on Monday, June 1, 2015 for his
First Annual Chargers and Chops, raising $125,000 to benefit Melvin Ingram’s Mission Possible
Foundation.
The foundation aims to provide inner city and low-income children with the educational opportunities and
resources to reach their full potential and beat the odds. Proceeds from the evening will help fund
community outreach programs, such as Mission: Christmas and Melvin’s Reading Stations, in an effort to
fulfill the mission of Melvin Ingram’s Mission Possible Foundation.
For one evening only, several San Diego Chargers, including Jahleel Addae, Keenan Allen, Jeremiah
Attaochu, Donald Butler, Richard Crawford, Chris Davis, Greg Ducre, King Dunlap, Brandon Flowers,
Corey Liuget, Patrick Robinson, Manti Te’o, Colton Underwood, Jason Verrett and Tourek Williams,
joined Ingram to trade in their uniforms and helmets for aprons and trays to benefit Ingram’s cause.
In addition to celebrity service from Ingram and his Chargers teammates, guests enjoyed a cocktail
reception and Donovan’s world-class prime steaks, accompanied by the finest of wine.
Steve Hartman and Mike Costa of XTRA 1360 FOX Sports San Diego’s Loose Cannons served as the
evening’s emcees, while Janine Huisman of For Your Benefit served as the evening’s auctioneer during
exciting live and silent auctions.
