NEXT COUNCIL MEETING 7pm Tuesday March 31 Winner 2014 All welcome for excellence in local government Sign up for our monthly e-news at www.kmc.nsw.gov.au/subscribe MAYOR’S MESSAGE Community Day at Lindfield Tomorrow Saturday 21 March we will be hosting a community day at Lindfield’s Woodford Lane car park between 11am and 3pm to discuss with you plans to ‘activate’ Lindfield. Over the last 18 months the Council has been talking to local residents and businesspeople about the future of the centre and what they would like done to revitalise it. From our discussions some common themes have emerged – the need for more green space, a communal area for public events, better designed streetscapes and new community facilities such as a library. Acting on your feedback, we have now prepared concept designs for two key areas known as the Lindfield Community Hub and Lindfield Village Green, located at the Woodford Lane and Tryon Road car parks respectively. The designs are on public exhibition between 21 March and 8 May and I do hope you will view them and give us your opinion. Your input will assist the Council in making a final decision on a preferred design for both the Hub and the Village Green. Please visit our website at www.kmc.nsw.gov.au/activatelindfield to find out more about this exciting project and how you can have your say. This is another project where the Council and community have worked together to achieve a great result for sport and fitness in our local area!
