U14 Ladies Football Limerick Feile Final.
On Saturday the 18th of April our U14 girls travelled to Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale to play in the Limerick Feile
competition. Mungret played Galtee Gaels in their semi while Old Mill played St. Ailbes in the other. Mungret
got off to a great start and the whole way through never looked like the game could be lost. They ran out
convincing winners on a score line of Mungret 5-8 Galtee Gaels 2-1. Mungrets scores coming from Emer
O’Keeffe 4-6, Kerri Guinea 1-1 and Ciara O’Connell 0-1. The other semi saw St. Ailbes beat Old Mill 1-5 to 1-2.
This saw Mungret take on old rivals St. Ailbes in the final. Mungret again got off to the better start and lead at
half time 2-2 to 0-0. St. Ailbes came back out in the second halfand mounted a comeback by scoring the first
goal of the second half. Mungret responded straight away with a goal of their own within a few minutes to keep
the scores ticking over. St. Ailbhes added another 1-2 but Mungret just couldn’t be beaten and score another 2-1.
Final score Mungret 5-3 St.Ailbes 2-2. Scores for Mungret Emer O’Keeffe 4-2, Emma Kate Quinn 1-0 and Claire

U16 Hurling Championship – Round 1 – Monday 20/4/2015
Final Score: Mungret St.Pauls 4.25 Adare 1.6
Our U16s started their 2015 campaign with a comfortable win against Adare, in a match played in perfect
conditions in Mungret. We got a tonic start with a goal from Daniel Larkin within a minute of the start. From
there we picked off a series of excellent scores leading to a half time score of Mungret St Pauls 2.13 Adare 0.05.
The second goal came from William Fitzgerald . The second half continued in a similar vein with two further
goals from William.
The most pleasing aspects of the performance was the spread of scorers with 6 players featuring on the
scoresheet and the performance of the younger team members including David Bridgeman, Cillian O’Malley,
Josh O’Rahilly, Daniel Larkin and Keith McInerney.
The Championship now takes a break due to players doing Junior Cert exams with the next match being a
difficult away fixture against Kilmallock on 29th June.
