The NAACP 46th Commerce and Industry Show
Pennsylvania Convention Center
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
July 11-14, 2015
The NAACP Commerce and Industry Show is one of the highlights of the Annual
Convention. Over 5,000 visited the Show and Job Fair during the 2014 Convention
in Las Vegas. It provides the greatest opportunity for sponsors, partners,
companies, civic organizations, and vendors to access both the NAACP
membership and the Philadelphia community during our convention. Admission is
free, both for registered attendees and visitors from the local community. The
show includes the Experience the NAACP Center Stage, where panels, talent
showcases, and giveaways will take place throughout the show, as well as an
Authors Pavilion, Health and Wellness Pavilion, Cyber Café, and Retail Expo.
Why do we expect higher attendance in Philadelphia?
Philadelphia presents a different landscape for the NAACP than some of our most
recent locations for the following reasons:
 The convention center is located in the heart of the downtown area with
high visibility and easy access.
 The local community has more familiarity with the NAACP brand and is
excited about the convention.
 The local government and convention and visitor’s bureau is promoting the
convention throughout the city.
What has been put in place to increase traffic at the show?
A targeted marketing campaign is in place for Philadelphia that includes the
following:
 Mobile billboards that will run in downtown and on community routes.
 Increased engagement in social media
 Outreach to local radio, television, and news outlets for coverage.
What is Experience the NAACP?
The Commerce and Industry Show provides us the prime opportunity to showcase
both our partners and the work of the NAACP. Each day, the show will reflect
themes and target segments of the NAACP demographic.

 Center Stage activities will feature artists and discussions that target our
faith based community

visit the hall after their respective services.
