The Learning Maps Project aims to: · support students, teachers and families to use their learning maps to actively change their learning environments, · build an understanding of how using the student learning map enables students to take active responsibility for their learning and make positive changes to their learning environments, and · build our understanding of teacher, school leader, parent and Whānau perspectives on how they can best support students in modern-day learning. On Tuesday we had our first ‘Learning Map’ session along with approximately 120 other students from other schools and colleges. From the feedback I have received from staff, students and whanau is that the workshop was very successful and we look forward to hearing more as the project progresses.
