NORTHEAST MINNEAPOLIS ARTS ASSOCIATION 2015 Art-A-Whirl On-Call Volunteer Description: Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (NEMAA) is currently seeking candidates interested in serving as an on-call Art-A-Whirl Volunteer. This volunteer will assist with filling in various volunteer shifts as needed throughout the weekend of Art-A-Whirl®, the largest open studio tour in the country. Art-A-Whirl takes place the third weekend in May throughout Northeast Minneapolis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Work with Art-A-Whirl Volunteer Coordinator to fill in unfilled shifts, or shifts with late or no-show volunteers. Shift locations include the two information booths, trolley, and NEMAA silent auction room. Visit nemaa.org/art-a-whirl/volunteer for complete schedule. Help with set up and tear down of two outdoor information booths (about 1 mile apart). Qualifications: Must be available to occasionally assist throughout the weekend of AAW (May 15-17, 2015) – Open availability is crucial and required. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Reliable vehicle to assist with getting from location to location as needed. This position involves lifting – candidate must be able to lift at least 20 pounds. Access to internet, email, and computer. Experience in working or volunteering at a festival or large event preferred. Education Requirement: High School diploma required Benefits: Stipend of $50 offered after successful completion of volunteer position.
